Also, the TV which was on the wall at the foot of the bed, meant you had to lean away from it when walking past, otherwise you would hit your head on it. Which I often did. "Cabins are beautiful with lovely views, however somewhat overlooked by the golfers. But it is on a golf site, so to be expected. Beds are really comfortable. We had fun with the sliding doors between the bedroom and bathroom. Great touch having the door out to the hot tub through the bathroom. No traipsing through the cabin causing wet floors. Kitchen had all the expected amenities to allow you to cook full meals, if needed. The separate drinks fridge and full freezer is always a bonus."

"We stayed in the Luca lodge which was lovely however on the third day before checkout, we had to move to a different lodge as our water had frozen and stopped working. We were moved to Mulberry lodge which was pretty similar to Luca in terms of the view however, the kitchen was a lot smaller and the lodge just didnt seem clean at all. We found dirty cutlery which hadnt been washed and just put back, clearly the people who clean the lodges dont check everything. The oven and gas looked like it had never been cleaned properly. Some of the things Luca had in there, Mulberry didnt which was another thing we found really odd! We also found the lodges opposite ours bigger and when I checked the prices it was literally a £20 difference so a bit gutted we didnt book that! Would just appreciate more cleanliness in the lodges, you can tell a lot gets missed and nobody wants to stay in a dirty lodge."

"Myself, partner and 2 year old son stayed at this lodge in January 2024 it was amazing. On arrival the lodge was super clean and tidy all furniture was of highest quality. The beds were made up nicely and are king-size in both bedrooms also both bedrooms have there own ensuite bathrooms which lead onto the hot tub which is under a roof so the rain can't stop you using it. Also the kitchen area is nice and big and we were supplied with tea, coffee, sugar and milk which was a lovely bonus on arrival. WiFi was really good in the lodge never had a problem with signal all the time I was there. I would highly recommend this place to stay at I didn't want to leave."

"I can't really comment on staff as we didn't see anyone, apart from the guy in the bar. The bar closed at 6 on the Monday we arrived, the restaurant was closed & only opened till 4 or 6 on the remaining 3 days we were there. As it's a golf resort we were expecting the restaurant & bar to be open later to cater for the golfers. We found some lovely pubs & cafes in/on the way to Waltham though. Lodge was beautiful & the setting is very quiet. Had a very relaxing stay."

The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY

about 5 Miles

Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families. In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience. Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats. The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things. We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too. We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
