As much as it's nice to get away from everything stringer wifi would be good. Sometimes you need to be in contact with work/family and with no signal anywhere the wifi was really poor. But it wouldn't stop me coming back.

comfortable furnishings, plenty of knives/forks/spoons/plates/cups etc. Will visit again delighted that the front entrance had a gate so it was possible to sit there and not worry about small dog getting out .

Almost perfect. One of the sofas was lumpy but since there were two it didn't matter.
A really silly thing was that the plates provided were too large to go into the dishwasher, but that didn't matter at all. Really excellent overall.

Lodge was really well equipped with everything you need. Central heating worked extremely well. The location is set away for a peaceful break but within driving distance of shops and pubs.
Booked this for a few days of peace and quiet, and you certainly get that, if you really want to get away from it all this is ideal, however if you need shops and entertainment this would not be for you. Cabin was well equipped and comfortable, jacuzzi was a nice touch, but could have been a bit hotter for my liking.
Lovily relaxing holiday
Excellent place to stay if like us you just want to be lazy and chill out for a few days as you are out in the country on a working farm. We took our dog and we all enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was nice and well used.

Fun Days Out near Athelington Hall Farm Lodges

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - about 8 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Banham Zoo - about 13 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Africa Alive - about 21 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Melsop Farm Park - about 22 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
