Lovely lodge, just odd it had no shower door as the floor and walls got soaked. Felt bad every time we showered and we had to ring the bath mat out!
I went away recently with my family for my 40th birthday. Loved every minute, staff were friendly. Just what I needed.
The lodge was beautiful and the staff was very helpful, would defantly recommend to friends
We needed a holiday today de stress which is exactly what we did. Lovely lodge in lovely surroundings complete peace and quiet and without interferrance.
What a lovely place! As good as the pictures suggest. Very kind and helpful staff too! The only query about value for money was that we went in the October half term when the price goes up. There isn't entertainment for kids here but children are well catered for - that's why we picked this location.
Lodge was very good with all the extras that make it that bit special we loved the hot tub and the surroundings were very nice with some good walks, it would be more helpful if the office supplied more detailed maps as we did find it quite difficult to follow the signage when going to the Sherwood visitors centre. The only negative was the wifi which we paid extra for but it never worked as it should have, but the office did refund us and I'm sure they will get it sorted in time.
We had an amazing 4 day break in the sherwood forest. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The lodge was of the highest standard with amazing facilities. Would highly recommend visiting
This place is perfect if you want to get away from it all. Lodge facilities are brilliant. The area is beautiful.
Loved it, perfect weekend away. So relaxing, lovely walks, hot tubs and had breakfast whilst staring about the beautiful surroundings.
Well cared for lodge, well equipped for a very relaxing break
Really enjoyable environment peaceful and quiet x

Fun Days Out near The Sherwood Hideaway Lodges

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.

Heights of Abraham - about 23 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
