A lovely lodge but pay before you arrive! When we arrived i had to pay the balance of 275 but they wouldn't take card payments, i had to go the cash machine a couple of miles away and get the cash. Also if you need 24 hour internet you will have a problem. We had read that it was free WiFi so this was great as my wife does alot of work from home. At first we didn't have a problem but around 6 o'clock we couldn't connect. The next day i went to reception and asked if their was a problem with the internet and was told that it is not left on all the time as people were using it for watching films till all hours of the morning? They also deducted 25 of our deposit for additional cleaning, i can only think that must have been for leaving the dishes in the dishwasher.

This is certainly a premier lodge, my husband said it was the best we'd ever stayed in and we've been in a few. On closure inspection there were a few cobwebs which should have been removed by the housekeeping team, but these didn't distract from the overall feeling. Kitchen was well equipped, lounge comfortable, bedroom large and ensuite shower powerful and warm. Even able to switch on shower from side of bed, no risk of a cold shower! Hot tub was powerful and warm, but not hot. Was fine for two, but feel if four people staying, it would be difficult to sit outside together, two separate first floor balconies, both fine for two, not sure four would fit. The hot tub area had a window to the garage, which surprisingly is used by the cleaning staff to charge the golf buggies they use to move around site, we didn't see them, but could happen if you are in hot tub when they move buggies. Hire bikes were also stored in garage, which worried us, so left car out on drive, ok in Summer, but not so good if weather bad. Don't let this put you off going, still enjoyed.

The lodge was extremely clean, with all facilities as advertised. I was concerned about the cleanliness as it was 'dog friendly' but needn't have worried as the lodge was immaculate & 'no doggy smells'. The site was also lovely & very well maintained.

I had read reviews about being too many 'rules & regs' on site, but they were pretty standard common sense rules which I would expect any site to have. I was also made fully aware of arrival times, no vans etc before I went, so no surprises.

Hot tub was clean & private, the site was very quiet. The only slight thing is that there aren't really any pubs/restaurants in easy walking distance, so car or taxi is needed in the evening unless you go to restaurant on site.

Lovely place ,fishing good nice and quiet only one drawback .could not get booked up in the bothy for a meal and you can't use it just for a drink, needs to expand to meet demand as only open 3 days. Seems like a missed opportunity.baring this had a lovely stay

Very quiet place to be. Love children but when you haven't got any with you Beaconsfield Park is ideal. Hope to return at some future date.
