Bulworthy Forest Lodges offer a haven of peace and tranquillity in a wonderful secluded setting in 25 acres of woodland. The lodges are well appointed around the attractive site which boasts no less than five well stocked fishing lakes.

The location is very peaceful but those seeking action and adventure as well as beautiful beaches can find them just a few miles away in the North Devon towns of Bideford Barnstaple and Torrington. There is a sandy beach just 5 miles away with shops and a pub within 4 miles.

Guests can enjoy the free carp and coarse fishing onsite while a larger selection of outdoor pursuits are available locally. The beautiful surrounding woods invite leisurely rambles and are home to an abundance of wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna.

Accommodation is in a range of stylish lodges sleeping from 4-6 people. Guests looking for luxury could opt for the top of the range Larchers Lodge which has beautiful lake views and a private outdoor hot tub. If value for money is a top priority then the Hunters Lodge is a good choice and has everything needed for an excellent self catering holiday.

Due to the steep gradients and steps Bulworthy Forest Lodges are not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.

Stayed in Rosebay lodge, absolutely loved it. Lovely secluded location, great for peace and quiet. Lodge was really well equipped with everything you'd want. Nice BBQ area to the front of the lodge with picnic bench. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area and friendly owners.

Accommodation type: Hunter's Lodge
As previous reviews stated very quiet and peaceful if you like fishing perfect. Lake just outside the door. It is a bit out of the way and a car trip to wherever you want to go shop/pub so someone always needs to drive . The lodges have everything you need . We spent our days out and the evenings in . Perfect. There is lots to do in the surrounding area and all easily accessible lots of info in the lodge to help you plan your day. The dog loved her holiday .

Fantastic view over the lake, loved watching all the wildlife, especially the ducklings
Rebecca
Nice little lodge everything you need for a stay. Kitchen fully equipped. Wifi pretty none existent but that is just the area not the sites fault as they have provided boosters but still not good. Lovely area driving in the lanes takes a bit of getting used too. Instow and Saunton beach are best for taking dogs on.
Ellen
Fab holiday beautiful surroundings.
Kayleigh
Our 5th visit to Bulworthy Forest lodges and as relaxing as always. We always end up returning as it's the perfect get way for us. It's quiet with beautiful, natural surroundings.
Irene
On arrival we did not have the code for the key safe.....this is a brilliant idea if all parties are on the ball....luckily Liz was on the end of her phone and gave it to us apparently we should have been given this info before travelling by hoeseasons...need to sort this! Otherwise va very pleasant stay in a very well equipped lodge
Neil
Fantastic holiday, amazing weather and would definitely come again. Quiet and beautiful, relaxing and refreshing, with good access to north Devon coast.
Anna
Absolutely idyllic settings, so quiet and peaceful, full of wildlife and lots of exploring to do, even though it's quiet, Bideford is only a 10min drive away for everything you may need from shops, chemists, pubs, takeaways, scenery etc...
Mandy
Lovely lodge in a tranquil setting. We had a lovely break at the beginning of July. I think it would be a lovely lodge to hide away in peak season but the lack of passing spaces and narrow lanes to access the site could be a problem when going out for the day in holiday traffic.
Paul
Very comfortable and relaxing stay at Oakapple, very clean and spacious had everything we needed and we loved the hot tub. Very close to nearby beach and small town of Instow which we found very appealing with its dog friendly beach great pubs/restaurants.
Dawn
A great place to get away from it all and relax in a beautiful setting.
Rosie
Stayed in Rosebay lodge, absolutely loved it. Lovely secluded location, great for peace and quiet. Lodge was really well equipped with everything you'd want. Nice BBQ area to the front of the lodge with picnic bench. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area and friendly owners.
