Bulworthy Forest Lodges offer a haven of peace and tranquillity in a wonderful secluded setting in 25 acres of woodland. The lodges are well appointed around the attractive site which boasts no less than five well stocked fishing lakes.

The location is very peaceful but those seeking action and adventure as well as beautiful beaches can find them just a few miles away in the North Devon towns of Bideford Barnstaple and Torrington. There is a sandy beach just 5 miles away with shops and a pub within 4 miles.

Guests can enjoy the free carp and coarse fishing onsite while a larger selection of outdoor pursuits are available locally. The beautiful surrounding woods invite leisurely rambles and are home to an abundance of wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna.

Accommodation is in a range of stylish lodges sleeping from 4-6 people. Guests looking for luxury could opt for the top of the range Larchers Lodge which has beautiful lake views and a private outdoor hot tub. If value for money is a top priority then the Hunters Lodge is a good choice and has everything needed for an excellent self catering holiday.

Due to the steep gradients and steps Bulworthy Forest Lodges are not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.

Our lodge was idyllically located, barely 20 feet from a tranquil lake, deep in a remote tree-lined valley. Although not new, it was comfortable, well-equipped and welcoming, even down to a pint of milk and a packet of scones, jam and clotted cream. The central heating was very efficient, taking only a few minutes to take the chill off the place after dark. Our only disappointment came on our penultimate night when the boiler sprang a leak and fused the electrical system. The custodian was not able to fix the boiler, leaving us without water for a day and a half. We were able to use another lodge for water supply, the loo and washing, but having to traipse about with kettles and jugs was a bit of a pain, especially at night. Without that little problem, I would have given the lodge 8 1/2 out of ten.

Michelle
The Foxglove was a super spacious & very warm comfortable cabin, with a wonderful hot tub that we used often & this was always a great temperature, considering it was mid September. The area is so peaceful, with many birds, pheasants & squirrels. We venued out once to Instow, but had everything we wanted at the Foxglove, great elevation, views & peacefulness. Many Thanks 😁
Peter
We arrived quite late in the day, but were delighted to find a welcome box in the cabin with tea and coffee makings, jam, cream and fresh made scones which were wonderful. We were met by helpful staff who apologised for the lack of hot water in the kitchen that evening as they were waiting for repair parts for the boiler-forewarned it was not an issue-the boiler was repaired and working by the time we got up after a lay in in the morning-blinding! The woods were beautiful, quiet, peaceful and undisturbed. The phone reception was as poor as advertised and the wifi was non-existent, again as advertised, marvelous for us as we wanted a really quiet time and we got just that. Location is great, just a short drive to Bideford or Barnstaple for sight seeing or shopping, but remote enough to be undisturbed when we wanted. All in all a great break and we'd love to go back-soon
Amy
Such an amazing long weekend. Hot tub was amazing, beautiful surroundings and walks to go on! The lodge had everything that you needed and more! Can't wait to come again!
