Just a 25 minute drive from the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast, these gorgeous log cabins are fitted to the highest standard with contemporary designs and outdoor decking areas complete with private hot tubs. Halesworth is the ideal location from which to explore the Suffolk countryside and Bury St Edmunds and Aldeburgh are both easily accessible.

Laxfield, a pretty little historic village halfway between Halesworth and Framlingham, is just a ten minute walk away and has a selection of shops, an indoor swimming pool, a museum housed in a 16th century building and a lovely little thatched pub, The King's Head. It serves locally sourced food seven days a week and has a good selection of local beers.

Sunrise VIP is a traditional log cabin that sleeps up to four people. It has one double room with ensuite shower and one twin bedroom plus a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a flat screen HD TV with Freeview and DVD. Double doors lead to a private decking area with a hot tub.

There are grassed communal areas and open countryside, where you can walk and enjoy the numerous cycle routes. Framlingham is only ten minutes by car and the castle, which dates back to the 12th century, is a great tourist attraction.

Our Top Tip
"For shopping, head to Ipswich or Norwich and if you love browsing for antiques, a trip to Lavenham or Long Melford is a must."

The perfect place to explore the Suffolk coast and country! Beautiful lodge, well-equipped, clean and homely. The hot tub is amazing!
The only issue with the furniture was the leather sofa was flaking- which got everywhere!

Very lovely place, we really enjoyed ourselves. We missed on the web site that it had a hot tub so we did not come prepared for it. Great place to stay.

What a beautiful lodge!
A proper 'log cabin' surrounded by empty fields and wildlife. All you can hear at night are owls, very peaceful. I didn't meet one of the owners, but I met Gary who shew us around, is very welcoming and just a very lovely guy. Every last detail was thought of in the lodge, it was perfect and I've never been so relaxed. This lodge allows pets which usually we would avoid but you'd never tell. Cleaned so well and no pet smell! We will be back (and we NEVER visit the same place twice usually)

I loved the little lodge I did not want to return home after my stay was very comfy and clean and would love to come back again
Emma
Lovely and relaxing Would definitly go back.
Karen
Over all an excellent stay. Had a slight problem with the hot tub and were unable to reach anyone to sort it out as no phone signal and nobody available all day and evening. This would have ruined our time away had my husband been unable to fix it. Would not put us off revisiting and Gary made us feel very welcome indeed.
Sally
Lovely relaxing break.
Anthony
Excellent accommodation in a lovely location with friendly hosts would definitely go back to stay in the future.
James
Gary was so helpful and gave us a warm welcome and advice about the area when we arrived.

My favourite part of the country and this lodge was perfect to explore it! Couldn't fault anything with it and Gary was more than helpful and didn't want to come home!

Fun Days Out near Laxfield lodges

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - about 11 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Africa Alive - about 17 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Banham Zoo - about 17 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
