Four adults enjoyed our stay. Walks good from longnor. Slightly too far out for a trip to the local pub.

everything was perfect, from the milk in the fridge so you could have a cup of tea as soon as you arrived, the towels were provided so we could jump straight in the hot tub, and the walk in wardrobe was fabulous. The chalet was spotlessly clean, the site was in the most beautiful condition, staff were incredibly helpful but unobtrusive. I couldn't rate it any higher, we will definitely be back.

Our lodge ("Maple") was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. There was excellent storage space for all our needs and the living / dining / kitchen area was attractive and well organised. We made full use of the hot tub and would have eaten outside on the decking area if the weather had been warmer.

Very good accommodation,
Helen
We had a great time, the park was so quiet. We stayed in Cedar with our 2 dogs. The only downside we found was we had to drive everywhere. The dog walking field was perfect, cabin a good size and it has everything you could possibly need
Melanie
Peaceful and relaxing Couldn't wish for a better holiday
Simon

Amanda

Longnor Wood is an attractive, well laid out, clean and tidy holiday park. In particular, our lodge was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. There was excellent storage space for all our needs and the living / dining / kitchen area was attractive and well organised. We made full use of the hot tub and would have eaten outside on the decking area if the weather had been warmer. Road access through the site and car parking facilities were first class. DVD's, books and jigsaws were available at no cost. We will almost certainly return, perhaps for a longer break in a summer month.
Hannah
Had a lovely break with my husband, first one ever without our children, and while we obviously missed them dreadfully (!!) we could not have asked for a better, more relaxing break, or more beautiful surroundings. Plenty of wonderful memories to last at least until I can convince my parents to have the kids again! Wonderful, friendly staff, fabulous hot tub, thoroughly recommended.
Patricia
Lovely and clean and welcoming. Very relaxing break. Hot tub makes it for us. Have been several times and will come again. Only thing for us is the bed is never very comfortable. We couldn’t manage without a topper!
Jeanette
Very clean comfortable home from home lodge, third visit and wouldn't be the last! Highly recommend
Laura
Lovely place

Fun Days Out near Longnor Wood Holiday Park

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place to relax and explore.  The stunning scenery will take your breath away and there is the opportunity to take part in ranger led guides and events.  These are ideal if you are new to the area or only staying a short time and want to see the best sights and walks.
Alton Towers - about 12 Miles
Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.
Gullivers Kingdom - about 14 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - about 14 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
