This holiday was perfect! They've literally thought of everything. Everything you need is there. The complimentary bubbly was gorgeous and we enjoyed it in the hot tub as they provided plastic glasses. Appliances were easy to use. The cleanliness was brilliant and the wildlife we saw was great, even had a little squirrel which came and sat with us at breakfast along with the robins. Beautiful scenery around the location and there's some great pubs for lunch near by. The only problem I had with the place was the shower was sort of broken. My partner could use it but it was too hot for me but they couldn't fix it at the time. They had to order a new shower but it wouldn't arrive in time. To be honest, this didn't make the holiday bad, it was still amazing and we're going back soon! Thank you so much for a lovely welcome, and the best holiday as we got engaged while we were there. :D

I went for my birthday and was really impressed. Perfect location, quite and peaceful. Lodges were really nice with the private hot tub as advertised and staff are really nice and helpful. They provide you with lots of recommadations, DVDs and reception do sell necessaties. No wifi due to the location or service, but we did buy the wifi for the lodge which worked well! Will be going again in the future.

Only issue I had with the Lodge we stayed in was we had no sun on our hot tub all other lodges that I could see when the sun was out was on their hot tub but ours was covered by the huge tree behind the lodge which was a little upsetting and I think the visiting times are a little dramatic think visiting times should be all day.

I stayed in the 'acorn' lodge with my wife 29th May - 2nd June 2017 , we thought this place would be perfect for our honeymoon and we were not wrong! Firstly I could not fault the staff, the team do a wonderful job. All are very friendly and approachable. There is an information hut next to the reception which is a lovely touch, as well as plenty of information about the local area the hut offers books, dvds, board games and some sports equipment (badminton rackets) all for FREE! The location itself is very peaceful, just a miles walk from the village of Longnor, A beautiful overall of the Peak district fields! It was a delight to wake up each morning and hear the birds in the trees and the odd wild rabbit running about! The lodge we stayed in was like a home away from home, The lodge was spotless and fully equipped with the necessities to start off your holiday! the whole place had a modern touch and could see great care had been taken in keeping the lodge up to date. During our stay we were able to hire a gas BBQ (free of charge!) This was delivered to us complete with BBQ tools on our decking of lodge the very next morning of asking. As a bonus My wife and I were also greeted on arrival with a card, champagne and box of chocolates on the dining room table in our lodge, This was a wonderful personal touch and got our honeymoon started the right way! Regarding facilities on site, The Reception is opened daily with a little shop inside to stock up on the necessities (and the odd treat of chocolate!) all at very reasonable prices, Local produce is also available (Eggs, bacon) . In addition there is a private bus service to a local pub 'The winking man' which upon request you can be picked up and dropped back all completely free of charge. I personally recommend the steak if you get a chance to go there! Overall - If you want a relaxing holiday, friendly appreciative staff and peace this is the place to be! ps. We enjoyed our stay so much that before we left we were working out when to return! Thank you to all the staff at Longnor Wood for making our break away special :)

Beautiful location near Longnor. Rolling Peak District hills and valleys. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The park was perfectly maintained and the lodges were gorgeous. One of the best we've stayed in.

Fun Days Out near Longnor Wood Holiday Park

The Peak District National Park is the ideal place to relax and explore.  The stunning scenery will take your breath away and there is the opportunity to take part in ranger led guides and events.  These are ideal if you are new to the area or only staying a short time and want to see the best sights and walks.
Alton Towers - about 12 Miles
Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.
Gullivers Kingdom - about 14 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - about 14 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
