We had a really nice weekend here with our 2 toddlers aged 18 mths and 3. the site was really peaceful and seemed deserted at times. We had a Sandybrook Riber lodge and the staff very kindly gave us a travel cot for our youngest and a highchair to use in the lodge. The lodge was cosy and really clean with a good size kitchen. We spend most of our time just chilling out in the lodge and walking around the site but we also used the indoor pool which was nice and warm and the little ones loved it. We would recommend these lodges to couples and families with young children. Not much for teenagers to do though i don't think.
Stayed at Sandybrook for 3 nights at new Year. We had a fantastic time and will definitely book again. Lodges excellent, facilities first class, staff very friendly. A great holiday.
Fantastic short break with my son and his family. So peaceful. So many different birds even heard an owl. children loved the squirrels.Hottub lovely and warm and relaxing. Lodge very clean. Food in restaurant excellent and a gluten free menu.Staff very friendly.Would visit again. If you want a stress free holiday this is it.

The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. As two women alone we felt very safe staying at Sandybrook. Have no complaints at all.
I would not take an elderly dog to this lodge-Our's was unable to stand up on the wooden floors.

Excellent way to relax after busy day out.
Everything was lovely booked for next year
Surprised to find how clean and comfortable lodge was and provided all essential items.
Good size plenty of room
Sofa was worn out and lumpy.
Helpful staff, well kept facilities and park and immaculately clean lodge.
Well landscaped park and immaculate accommodation . Convenient location
for shops and for local attractions. Very friendly, helpful staff . Pool warm and good though quite small. Restaurant and take away facilities were good but service needed improving. Go active programme was useful and leaders were really accommodating. Would like to return.
We had a wonderful time, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The lodge was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay .The restaurant and bar was ideal as we could take our dog in with us .10/10 !

Fab holiday with mum, sister and niece. Lodge was amazing. Restaurant was lovely and the staff were so friendly. Big shout out to Kevin-never met anyone so helpful and happy to advise us where to visit.
Sandybrook Country Park is set in a wonderful part of Derbyshire with easy access to walking routes, beautiful little villages and other places of interest. We were particularly impressed with how clean the lodge and park were. Staff were always welcoming and helpful We have visited the park twice before and have recommended it and the surrounding area to friends and relatives.
The site was ideally situated for touring and visiting the various attractions in the area. Reception staff were extremely pleasant. Our lodge was very comfortable and of course the hot tub was wonderful.
Great lodge on a great site. Will definitely be coming back.
Good place to rest, good swimming pool and jacquzi.
Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park. The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones. All ages are catered for here. Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis. There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event. Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family. From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal. The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. Group booking discounts are available.
