Fantastic from start to finish. Great location bang in the middle of loads of places to visit and activity places. The accommodation feels so spacious and the lodges are spaced out so we didn't hear any sounds from other lodges. With the trees and positioning the lodge felt very private.

Wonderful lodge stay, the lodge was beautiful with a fantastic view over a pond where we got to feed some ducklings every morning. Would highly recommend, we'll be back!

Can't speak highly enough of the Lodge , Took my wife as a surprise and arrived around 2 a bit early for check in, lovely lady at reception was so helpful in getting the Lodge ready a bit quicker . Lodge was amazing Staff at restaurant were great and helped us for things like trains and places to go . Food at restaurant is great and also good prices
Darren
great lodges in a fabulous woodland setting, plenty of space and privacy (which we were worried might not be the case). Easy access to Sherwood Forest ... although a little bit close to Mansfield (<1 mile) which meant the main road nearby became quite loud in the evening with cars and motorbikes using it as race track! The staff in Redbrick House were particular good and very helpful, we arrived late on Friday night but it wasn't a problem for the team. Sunday lunch in the restaurant was pleasant too.
Belinda

Julie

Lynn
We had a fabulous girlie weekend , loved the lodge and the facilities. Booked again for next year.
Amanda
Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Shame the hot tub wasn't working or fixed while we were there but we were provided with a Lazy Spa as a temporary replacement. We had fresh towels through out the week! When we discovered the oven didn't work on our last night there, we reported it approximately 7.30pm (we'd just got back from a long day out sight seeing) the lady on the reception said they could send a maintenance man which could take up to an hour. We said don't worry as it's late and we're leaving tomorrow anyway. After 10 minutes they rang us back and said we could pick a meal from their restaurant which would be on the house! When we mentioned we had a dog so couldn't eat inside they said no problem they'll get the chief to prepare it so we could take it back to the lodge with us! Very impressed and happy with the service :)
Samantha
great place to relax and enjoy Sherwood Forest

Fun Days Out near Redbrick Woodland Lodges

Denby Visitor Centre - about 15 Miles
Denby visitor centre is a fun day out in the Derbyshire region with an array of activities iunder one roof.  An all weather attraction you can take pottery tours, see cookery demonstrations and visit Bourne's restaurant.  There are events and offers on throughout the year for example the Denby factory Shops sale where you can save £££s and October Creepy Crypt for Halloween where you can go along in fancy dress and have your face painted.  Booking is advised so check out the latest details on their website.
This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
Gullivers Kingdom - about 17 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - about 17 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
