If you like fishing or boat hire then you'll love these modern lodges on the banks of the river Thames.  Furnished with contemporary interiors and with stunning river views we're sure you'll love these holiday homes as much as we do.

The location is ideal being on the banks of the river Thames and just 10 miles from the ancient city of Oxford.  Oxford and the surrounding area have a wealth of attractions to explore from historic buildings to quaint shops and eateries.

Close to the lodges you'll find the Thames path, cycle trails and riverside pubs. It's the ideal holiday for those who like the outdoors but also city breaks and home comforts.  on the park itself there is a cafe/bistro so you don't have to travel far for some delicious food or a few drinks. There is also boat hire, canoe hire and fishing available - local charges apply.

Choose from different sized holiday homes to suit your needs - all with river views.  The Southwold 1 sleeps 4 and has a master double bedroom with walk in wardrobe.  The Southwold 2 sleeps up to 6 people and has 2 bedrooms.  The living areas are open plan in design.  The lodges also have the benefit of private outdoor hot tubs - a delightful way to enjoy the surroundings and views.

Our Top Tip
"For children there is the Snakes & Ladders play area less than 8 miles from the lodges which has ride on electric motor bikes alongside climbing frames, slides and cargo nets."

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this place, the cabin is well equipped with everything we needed, the lady at reception was friendly and helpful (Shawna). Hot tub was relaxing. Good getaway a nice difference from my usual London fast paced life. We paid more then you would usually because we went in the Easter holiday 2017 but don't regret it. There is a cafe on site , river view, local town, service station shops (M+S, McDonald's), nice greenery also there is a bus that runs right through to Oxford and Reading.

Great lodge to stay in, only thing would be is that it needs more privacy around the hot tub, we were in one of the middle lodges and felt very exposed when in the hot tub.
Barbara
Excellent all round. Would recommend ( and have already done so) to family and friends.
Mandy
We had a lovely time, very relaxing just what we needed
Jens
Very good equipped house. Nice & quiet. Good starting point for exploring Oxfordshire.
Glenda
Lovely site convenient to visit Oxford and local villages. only criticism would be the road was quite noisy at times but that is part of accessibility to the area. Site was well looked after and staff very helpful.
Dawn
A lovely peaceful place to stay, great walks along the Thames and for visiting other nearby places,

What an amazing place. firstly i'd like to apologise for waltzing into the wrong lodge and making ourselves at home(small mistake looking at the paperwork) the manager was great about it let us stay where we were luckily no one was booked in. the lodge was lovely everything we needed best tub we've been in and we've been in a few. the riverside bistro cafe was really pretty had two meals in there, had lovely weather, sat on the terrace watching the boats go by on the thames. A perfect weekend break, didn't want to come back.

Fun Days Out near Benson Waterfront

This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Farmer Gows - about 20 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
