These beautiful lodges are the height of luxury, and surrounded by glorious countryside on the border of the North Yorkshire Moors. Close to the city of York and the historic town of Malton with its pretty market square, Malton Grange Country Park is an ideal base from which to explore North Yorkshire, with its long golden beaches and rugged coastline.

Castle Howard, just outside Malton, is one of England's most beautiful stately homes with dramatic interiors and stunning monuments that sit in the 1,000 acre grounds. The town is fast becoming known as a food lover's paradise, with shops, food tours, a cookery school and regular markets. It's a great shopping centre too, with many independent gift and clothes stores.

Lilac 4 is a beautiful lodge that has a master double bedroom with ensuite shower, and one twin. There's also a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge has a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player and patio doors that open out onto decking with outdoor hot tub.

The stunning landscape of the North York Moors National Park is right on your doorstep - take your time and explore the ancient abbeys and pretty Yorkshire villages. Flamingo Land is a popular theme park with white knuckle rides, smaller rides for youngsters and a zoo.

This is a lovely quiet site with friendly helpful site managers. The site is about 3 miles out of town and so is a very quiet location. I have only marked the the location down as there were new lodges being installed, being picky really . The site is very well presented and well maintained. our lodge was excellent very clean and the hot tub was a real bonus.

I have been to many lodges with hot tubs this year and this was the cheapest and I wondered if the lodge would be as good as the pictures. It was. It felt like I was the first person to stay there. Everything you could think of was provided in the kitchen and a few tablets for the dishwasher and washing up liquid. The little touches that show they care. My mum said there were tabs for the washing machine which would have been handy if we didn't find it till we were leaving! Oops. The dvd player was in the bedroom rather than the lounge so if you want to watch a dvd as a family you could take your own player. On to the hot tub. Wow. It thrashes the most expensive place I've been to and then some. So many lights I lost count and each seat has a different feature. The top of shoulder massage one looked good but I wanted to keep my hair dry, next time I'll take a hair dryer. It even had radio. One late night I had it on really quiet with the speaker behind me and I can't remember the last time I was that relaxed. I used the local asda to get food which was small but ok. There was a small sainsbury too in Malton. As it has a full size fridge freezer you can shop once and not need to go back. The only issue I have is it's booked up and I can't go back quick enough. The owner were great, friendly and helpful. I cant speak highly enough and trust me you won't want to get out of the hot tub.

One of the best lodges we've been in so far well equipped Brilliant surroundings Only criticism is no dvd player in living room
