Sun Hill Lodges are part of the exclusive Autograph Lodge Holidays which are hand picked for quality. The views are magnificent stretching across the stunning North Yorkshire countryside.

A really unique aspect of these luxury lodges is the hillside setting and 50 acres of the gorgeous Sun Hill Farm Estate which is well known for it's racehorse training.

After a lovely day exploring you can return to your luxury lodge and relax on your covered terrace taking in the views.  Or maybe you prefer winding down in the hot tub.

The Spindrifter Lodge is one of the most popular for romantic getaways.  There's a super king size four poster bed, open plan living area with kitchen and a lovely terrace with hot tub, not forgetting the panoramic views.

The Pivotal Lodge is another fantastic option with two bedrooms, terrace with panoramic views and hot tub.  Even the bedrooms in this lodge have amazing views.

The Alborada Lodge has achieved outstanding reviews from previous guests and is a deluxe lodge with hot tub, sleeping up to 4.

Within 3 miles of the lodges are the towns of Middleham and Leyburn with inns and tearooms not to mention shopping.  Bedale and Harrogate are within easy driving distance too.

With a great choice of luxury lodges and a beautiful surrounding area just waiting to be explored, you have the recipe for a memorable break in the Yorkshire Dales.

Spindrifter is a lovely cosy lodge right at the end with its own private garden and view looking right out on to the Gallops. Great views in all direction and a well laid out living space.

Lovely lodge in an idiotic location , very clean and well equipped. Lovely view and hot tub really private and clean . TV and free internet work well and the log burner is brilliant .
The island in front of the lodge is a bit swampy and the water is starting to look a bit green , but maybe that was the time of year we visited.
Overall it's probably one of the best lodges we have stayed in and ideal for a romantic getaway. Would defiantly visit again . The location is really rural and a good drive to a main town so would advise you take some provisions ,however the lodge does have a starter pack of food which was a really nice touch .
Tim
Very enjoyable despite the weather.

The Lodge was lovely with great facilities. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is stunning with great views and the added bonus of seeing the race horses most morning on the gallops.

We enjoyed a lovely 7 night stay at Sun Hill Lodges which was perfect in every way - the lodge, the location, the views, the tranquility and the weather. The lodge was the best we have ever stayed in, the attention to detail was excellent and we could not fault a single thing which is pretty rare. We have already highly recommended Sun Hill Lodges to family & friends and look forward to returning ourselves.
Diana
We stayed in William Lodge- the views, facilities and equipment were absolutely stunning. We have already booked again for next year. Just double check the bire hire- we had booked this with the estate office but sadly it didn't happen and I had persuaded my husband to leave his own bike at home! Otherwise we have no negative comments

We absolutely loved Sun Hill Lodges. Everything about it was bliss, we can't wait to return. Sauna, hot tub, log burner and BBQ with plenty of sunshine - what more could you want!? The location was stunning and the facilities inside the lodge were 5*.

Fun Days Out near Sun Hill Lodges

Big Sheep - about 6 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - about 11 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - about 14 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
