With spectacular views and excellent facilities, Loch Ness Highland Lodges sit right on the shores of stunning Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. Inverness is just 20 miles away and it's a great base from which to explore this beautiful region - Fort Augustus and the stunning ruin of Urquhart Castle are both within easy reach.

There's plenty of walking, fishing and boating to be done - with a jetty for canoe and kayak launching, as well as an adventure playground and mountain bike hire. You could take a five mile walk along the Caledonian Canal from Fort Augustus, stopping for a picnic at Kytra Lock. It's a relatively easy walk so ideal for the whole family.

We love The Moorings, a luxurious and modern lodge with amazing views of Loch Ness. It has a spacious open plan living area with a 42" plasma TV and Freesat, a DVD player and surround sound. French doors lead out onto a decking area where you can enjoy a barbecue and a soak in your own private hot tub.

From Invermoriston, a trip to the Isle of Skye will make a wonderful day out, and the beautiful landscape of the Cairngorms National Park sets the scene for hiking, cycling and climbing.

Our Top Tip
"Enjoy quad bike trekking, 4x4 driving, clay pigeon shooting, archery and white water rafting at the Highland Activities centre at Newtonmore."

The views are worth the price on their own! The owners were so helpful! Hot tub was nice and warm and the lodge was so cosy! If I had to comment on anything it would be lack of tv signal, but what do you expect in middle of nowhere! The loch view lodge was just in such a prim position to wake up in and just gaze over the loch!
Michael

This is the best location we have ever chose to stay at. The views over the loch were amazing. And it was only a 5 min drive from local villages of invermorstin and fort augustus. We had a lovely welcome to the park by noel who showed us how to work hottub straight away. Hot tub was a lovely bonus. and we even enjoyed it when it rained. Lodge was equipped with everything we needed and was very modern and cosy. I was sad to leave the lodge and for our stay to come to an end. Will definitely book up to go back next year. Would highly recommend
Michael
If you just want to chill out as there is not a lot to do you can see the Caledonian canal and the loch Ness centre but to be on the banks of loch is just out of this world brilliant
Robert
