With spectacular views and excellent facilities, Loch Ness Highland Lodges sit right on the shores of stunning Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. Inverness is just 20 miles away and it's a great base from which to explore this beautiful region - Fort Augustus and the stunning ruin of Urquhart Castle are both within easy reach.

There's plenty of walking, fishing and boating to be done - with a jetty for canoe and kayak launching, as well as an adventure playground and mountain bike hire. You could take a five mile walk along the Caledonian Canal from Fort Augustus, stopping for a picnic at Kytra Lock. It's a relatively easy walk so ideal for the whole family.

We love The Moorings, a luxurious and modern lodge with amazing views of Loch Ness. It has a spacious open plan living area with a 42" plasma TV and Freesat, a DVD player and surround sound. French doors lead out onto a decking area where you can enjoy a barbecue and a soak in your own private hot tub.

From Invermoriston, a trip to the Isle of Skye will make a wonderful day out, and the beautiful landscape of the Cairngorms National Park sets the scene for hiking, cycling and climbing.

Our Top Tip
"Enjoy quad bike trekking, 4x4 driving, clay pigeon shooting, archery and white water rafting at the Highland Activities centre at Newtonmore."

Absolutely amazing holiday. Wish we booked longer. Stunning accommodation and location. If there was one suggestion for improvement it would be that there was steps directly from decking to hot tub. However, this did not affect our stay too much!

Lovely caravan and resort, staff were very friendly and helpful. Hot tub and view were amazing! Only grumble was that the heating system was very noisy which kept us awake at times however didn't spoil things. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous holiday. Nothing on site but didn’t really matter to us. The location and surroundings couldn’t have been better. Would definitely visit again and have already recommended to family and friends.
Yvonne
Lovely clean site, the site itself is quite isolated, but we loved that!! The scenery was idyllic, the staff that ran the site were a very helpful and friendly couple.
Heather
