Strathyre Lodges has a simply stunning location between the scenic lochs and breathtaking mountains of the Trossachs. The site is overlooked by the majestic Ben Ledi which provides a stunning backdrop to the lodges. All of the spacious cabins are well appointed around the peaceful forest and along the banks of Loch Lubnaig. There is no question that the area is a paradise for lovers of nature but it is also ideal for those seeking total relaxation and tranquillity.

Only 39 miles from Glasgow the lodges are ideal for short breaks and family holidays alike. Just minutes from the park a selection of watersports can be enjoyed while those who prefer to stay on dry land can enjoy fishing, walking and cycling.

There are four types of lodge to choose from at Strathyre. The Evergreen is a comfortable cabin with two bedrooms and additional sleeping for two in the lounge area. The Silver Birch is a luxurious and exclusive cabin with a large verandah and private hot tub as well as stunning views. The Golden Oak is the highest quality cabin with a stylish finish and lovely forest views. It also has a log burning stove and verandah with hot tub.

Beautiful in the autumn, the scenery was just amazing. Can recommend the Silver Birch lodge. it was spotless, a big thumbs up for the hot tub. It was to cold to try the watersports on the loch but would be great in the summer.

Had a great time. Lodge was lovely plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 children. Lots to do if you wish to participate. Staff very helpful. Only problem was lack of bowls for mixing and serving food. Would return and try another lodge.

No enough wardrobe spaces, ok if you were only with children, but not too good with all adults travelling.

Again they were delighted with everything and had everything that they could need. Only point to make is that it is very dark in the evenings and if you need to go outside it would be handy to have a torch in the cabin and also a full bucket of wood for woodburner for the first day

The hideaway golden oak lodge was a very cosy place to be. The only downside was the small bed and sofa was not that comfortable. Other than that it was fully equipped and the hot tub was great plus the bath was great too. All the added extras on arrival were welcomed after a long journey there.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in the Golden Oak with there being 4 of us, and two dogs, and we had lots of walks in the surrounding site. The staff at the site centre are very helpful, and the bounty of freshly baked bread to order was a delicious option. The cabin was spacious, we had lots of fun trying to keep the woodburner alight, perhaps the flu needed cleaning, but, we seemed to have issues with it. Anyway, the ensuite bathroom was wonderful, with floor lighting and stone tiles, and the complimentary bathrobes and products were very good. We had a lovely surprise of two Bonio dog biscuits waiting for our dogs along with a couple of poo bags for our use, of course we brought our own with us anyway. The kitchen was well equiped with microwave oven and dish washer as well as fridge and conventional oven . Strathyre is well equipped with cycles to rent if you wish to use them and lots of paths which you can walk along from the site. It is beautiful, we heard the owls calling their mates at night, and we saw wildlife as we walked up the woodland paths. It really is a very exciting venue, where you can chill, or be active, and join in with the various activities hosted by the staff. The shop provides basic's you might want, and luxury treats you might not know you wanted... altogether, well situated to go visit outwith the site the local places, Calendar having a few shops and two stores, Tesco and the Co-oP where you can get most things you might need during your stay if you haven't already brought them with you. It is by far dramatic and beautiful in equal measure, see the sun setting over the hills, or watching it rise , and the majesty of the shadow and mist over the trees and hills from the side of the loch...is awesome, breath taking. My favourite venue, and I look forward to returning in the future.

the place was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. hot tubs great. even the facilities in the cabin was well provided for. little things like pack to wash dishes was left which was of great help. we were told that no towels will be provided but when we arrived there were loads of towels. we would definitely go there again.

Loved everything about this place just wish it wasn't so expensive so we could go a few times a year. This is or 5th time going to strathyre and will be back next year. X
Anthony
The lodges are great especially with the hot tubs, the facilities were nearby but as no shops near by, make sure you bring enough provisions as prices on site are expensive. My family and I will use Strathyre Lodges again as some of our friends recommended this site and their judgement was correct.
Kirsty
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay. A real pity the wifi was down all weekend, this made our Friday evening a little complicated due to needing access online for personal reasons. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed.
Gavin
