Conifer Lodges in Wigtownshire are the perfect antidote to modern life. When you want to relax and re-charge your batteries then these lodges are a perfect retreat. The established pine woodland surroundings give an "away from it all" feel and yet you are only one mile from Newton Stewart, a pretty market town.
Facilities on site include tennis, BBQ and a launderette. For golf lovers then an 18 hole golf course is situated right next to the lodges and there are other quality golf courses in the region including the well known Turnberry course.
Reviews of Conifer Lodges have been very favourable with guests commenting on the excellent location and well appointed accommodation. The lodges offer a relaxing base for your stay, some with private outdoor hot tubs. We like the Lady Galloway Lodge VIP which offers open plan living for up to 6 people and private hot tub. The Conifer Lodge VIP is also recommended.

Well equipped but a little dated and very dark inside
Lovely lodge - plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery. Comfy beds.
We would go again
Always enjoy.but could maybe have a loyalty discount scheme for returning customers.
Would stay again but wasnt happy to be told to get out the tub!
Great to return again - so relaxing accommodation and surrounding area with friendly staff to hand.
Facilities let down by limited kitchen utensils and no jug for measuring which limited our options for meals, although we were creative with our measuring.
Very well equipped all home comforts available very cosy
It was perfect as it had the private hot tub.
Wonderful surroundings, nearby walking of Dogs through Golf Park grounds during winter . Tidy and clean site, and beautiful cabins. Master Bedroom a bit small for walking around the bed.couldn't open the door into the room fully as it hit the side of the bed. However, it was all comfortable and very clean and cosy, and we had a lovely private screen around the hot tub, and it was great looking up at the stars in the sky at night. Bring a torch with you, as the visibility is very poor without one, once it is dark, if exercising dogs or emptying rubbish to the bins late at night..
Stayed many times, lodges clean comfortable, staff great, just lacks a small shop for bread milk ,papers ect and would be perfect š
We had a fabulous time at conifer lodges hot tub was fantastic & private, can't wait to return . Only one thing I would change is the steps going into the hot tub would be bolted to the ground as was very unsteady .
The log cabin was beautiful, clean and the manager Laura ,the staff made us welcome.
The lodges was lovely and clean and the surroundings was very peaceful with plenty of wildlife.
Lovely lodge clean and tidy but kitchen in need of some repairs. Hot tub a added bonus, well maintained. Grounds well maintained and quiet.
Lodge lovely with everything inside you would need. The only thing I would say is the tennis court is slightly run down, the children loved going to it because it gave them a little independence.
We had an excellent stay at the lodges! We will return with our friends and family as soon as we can
Excellent accommodation, helpful staff and the hot tub was a real bonus.
Great location for the Galloway Forest (walking/ cycling and wildlife a plenty)
Walking distance to Newton Stewart for local amenities.
We had a two bed lodge with hot tub. It was clean and had everything you needed. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Great location
Excellent place we have already booked back up
An outdoor activity center suitable for families. Featuring one of Europe's longest zip wires, jeep driving, grass sledging, archery, outdoor scooters. A mix of fun and adreneline rides and a lot more.
We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
