Ruby Country Lodges are the perfect romantic escape. They are ideally located on the Devon / Cornwall border, so you'll have the best of both counties as you explore the interesting market towns, picturesque villages and visitor attractions. The lodges are surrounded by fragrant pine trees and unspoilt rolling countryside.

The wooded setting and rustic lodges give a real feeling of seclusion - you can while away the beautiful Devon evenings in your own private hot tub. However, Bude, with its many restaurants, pubs and shops, is very close by if you want something a little more lively. The Tree Inn is a quaint yet busy village pub that offers really lovely bar food.

Accommodation at Ruby Country Lodges consists of stunning two and three bedroom lodges, all with their own hot tubs. Roadford Lodge is sumptuous and stylishly furnished to a very high standard. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower and there are also two twin rooms and a deluxe family bathroom. It's open plan and contemporary and the patio doors lead out onto a superb decking area and hot tub.

There are plenty of safe cycle paths in the surrounding area. The Granite Way at Okehampton is a fairly easy 11 mile route that takes you through rural Devon with hardly any traffic. You can go gliding and riding at Dartmoor, clay pigeon shooting at Liskeard and canoeing and kayaking at Barnstaple so there's plenty of activities if you have some energy to burn!

Our Top Tip
"If you want to treat a loved one to a special meal then we love Decks Restaurant in Instow, serving fresh local food and offering delightful views."

It was a shame we could only stay a couple of nights as it was the relaxing break that we desperately needed! Lovely lodge, helpful managers on site and peaceful setting. The whirlpool bath, hot tub and luxury shower (that we called the time machine as that's what it looked like to us!) were such a lovely touch. We definitely hope to stay again in the future when we next need to recharge and unwind!!

Perfect get away when the other half! The lodge was stunning and very clean, brilliant layout and clean hot tub! Everything we needed could be found in the kitchen. The country side was silent and right next to Dartmoor, it was so peaceful! Make sure you do a big food shop all in one as there isn’t many shops about
Jack
Amazing place and staff! Can't fault them:) This is my fifth time staying and will keep coming again and again

Perfect as last tiem we stayed. Warm, comfortable, luxury in a peaceful setting. Nearly everything within about half an hour drive. Nearby good chippy too! Holsworthy has a stunning café called 'Filter Through' on North Rd - epic pies and cakes. Roadford Lake is great for a walk and café with kids play area and opportunity to take a Canadian canoe out from the opposite shore. Bude is great for a coastal visit - Castel Café is great, as is the pasty shop 'Pengenna Pasties' - baked before your eyes and I know people travel way off track to go there. Great sweet shop for the kids on Belle Vue called 'SoSweet'. Another lovely café in Bude called 'Coffee Pot Cafe' at the top end of Belle Vue - eggs benedict etc... Steam train ride in Launceston from eth old Gasworks on Priory Lane is great - if going the play farm and café at the end of the line then TAKE CASH - great place on a nice day. Can you tell we like food?! So - great place to stay - and lots to do not far away :o)
Matthew
Brilliant place to relax even with kids
Kristina
Perfect, tranquil & relaxing
