Ruby Country Lodges are the perfect romantic escape. They are ideally located on the Devon / Cornwall border, so you'll have the best of both counties as you explore the interesting market towns, picturesque villages and visitor attractions. The lodges are surrounded by fragrant pine trees and unspoilt rolling countryside.

The wooded setting and rustic lodges give a real feeling of seclusion - you can while away the beautiful Devon evenings in your own private hot tub. However, Bude, with its many restaurants, pubs and shops, is very close by if you want something a little more lively. The Tree Inn is a quaint yet busy village pub that offers really lovely bar food.

Accommodation at Ruby Country Lodges consists of stunning two and three bedroom lodges, all with their own hot tubs. Roadford Lodge is sumptuous and stylishly furnished to a very high standard. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower and there are also two twin rooms and a deluxe family bathroom. It's open plan and contemporary and the patio doors lead out onto a superb decking area and hot tub.

There are plenty of safe cycle paths in the surrounding area. The Granite Way at Okehampton is a fairly easy 11 mile route that takes you through rural Devon with hardly any traffic. You can go gliding and riding at Dartmoor, clay pigeon shooting at Liskeard and canoeing and kayaking at Barnstaple so there's plenty of activities if you have some energy to burn!

"If you want to treat a loved one to a special meal then we love Decks Restaurant in Instow, serving fresh local food and offering delightful views."

A lovely lodge, very homely although some furniture could do with replacing and some updating throughout. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge is on its way out, it took forever to get cold and was a little temperamental.

The lodge was excellent - spotlessly clean and spacious. We appreciated the en-suite bathroom, and the hot tub. We saw a lot of local wildlife up close - baby bunny rabbits playing next to the window and a robin hopped onto the decking every morning. We played badminton on the ground adjoining the lodge.

There's nothing to do on site, but that's ok if your after peace and quiet, you do have to drive to go anywhere, the lodge itself was amazing, clean, modern, comfortable and had pretty much everything you would ever need, the hot tub was fab and even though it rained for the four days we were there, it didn't ruin our holiday,

Cannot fault the holiday at all. Not one problem. Slept like a log, furniture all comfortable everything you needed in the kitchen. My only issue, but we knew this when we booked would be locality but that was not a problem. Andy was fantastic and his colleagues were most helpful.

Fabulous lodge in a lovely setting, if your looking to unwind and chill out this is the place for you ! After time spent exploring the beautiful north Devon coast it was a joy to come back and chill and use the hot tub. Spotless with all mod cons, we found the staff very helpful. We will definitely be retuning to this site, we had a very relaxing time.
