Hawkchurch Resort and Spa
If you're looking for a blissful retreat, with indulgent spa treatments and a hydrotherapy pool on your doorstep, then Hawkchurch Resort and Spa is for you. The stylish accommodation is set within a haven of natural beauty on the Dorset/Devon border and boasts fabulous views over the Axe Valley. Just a short drive from Axminster and Lyme Regis, this is the place to relax and recharge.
The Ezina Spa has three treatment rooms as well as a gym, relaxation room, sauna and Hammam style steam room. You can take your pick from fitness classes, yoga and Pilates and when you've finished being pampered, enjoy a deliciously healthy dinner in the Bistro style restaurant which also has a luxurious bar and sun terrace.
We love the Austen Premier, a contemporary and spacious lodge with a large decking area, where you can relax in your private hot tub after a luxurious spa day. It has two king sized ensuite double bedrooms and two twin rooms as well as a spacious family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. The lounge and kitchen is open plan and beautifully designed.
Lyme Regis is nestled around the mouth of the River Lim, and sits between the Undercliff National Nature Reserve and the stunning Blue Lias cliffs. The town has a wealth of independent shops selling gifts, clothes and jewellery. It also boasts a number of beaches and some lovely walks along the River Lym.

Accommodation type: Marple Lodge
Loved the lodge. Ideal for my elderly parents. No drawers in the twin room to store clothes otherwise a 10 all the way.
Only 1 negative comment. I had a steak meal in the restaurant which was fab except for the chips - the worst I have ever had anywhere. All crispy and no fluffy potato centre, very greasy and had to be picked up to eat as the fork would not go through them. Did not complain as I dont need to be eating chips. The other 2 meals were excellent and enjoyed by my parents (Lamb and fish of the day).
All power to the young lady from the gym who stood in for the waiting staff who had not arrived. She ran backwards and forwards to the kitchen to ask the chef questions to ensure that we got what we wanted. Sorry we do not remember her name but we arrived in the restaurant just after 12pm and I think it was on the wednesday of our stay. Well done her! We would have given her the tip but the regulars arrived abt mid way through the meal.
Superb accommodation is all I can say

Will book this type of holiday again
i would have loved if they served breakfast
reception area is easy to find, bar and restaurant were great. Pool and sauna spotlessly clean and great to use
Beautiful lodge in a lovely quiet location.
My family's comment only concerns the showers and the bath. The bath taps were not accessible without entering the bath because the screen obstructed manipulation. One of the showers was difficult when trying to adjust the water temperature. Apart from this the holiday and the set up of the site was totally first class. We travel to East Devon at least once a year and will be staying at Hawkchurch again. I have a voucher received when arriving for 20% discount which I hope to use within the next year. If you should have similar sites in the Norfolk Broads locality I would like to know.
Beautiful lodges with beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend this place.
Absolutely stunning lodge perfect location for access to the jurassic costal areas lovely spa facilities but restaurant beatiful butfood needs attention very poor meals we had
Loved it, from the moment we arrived to when we left, the Spa is superb, the restaurant fantastic and the lodge was out of this world, I could live in it. If there was one small downside to the Park, which didn't affect me as my Granddaughter is only 6 months old, is that although Children are welcome, there is not much for them to do.
Wow amazing time wonderful lodge. Top class not a corner cut, best one yet will book again 😀
A lovely location off the beaten track but very close to our favourite coast.
Loved it would definitely return.
