The lodges at Swandown are truly spectacular - unbelievably stylish, individually designed and with amazing views over the glorious Somerset countryside and the historic Cricket St Thomas estate. Swandown Lodges sit between two bustling market towns - Crewkerne and Chard - where you'll find plenty of shopping opportunities.

The facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a leisure complex, spa, sauna and steam room. Bike hire is available and there are plenty of nature trails to explore; you could go fishing and try your hand at clay pigeon shooting too. The children will be kept amused with the outdoor adventure playground, a selection of board games and a Wii - and there is a great family pub within walking distance.

Poldon Lodge is brand new for 2012, a luxurious and contemporary two storey lodge that sleeps six people. It's actually designed upside down - the bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs and the living area is on the first floor! Large patio doors lead out on to your own private balcony with an outdoor hot tub and spectacular views. On chilly evenings, you could light the log burner and enjoy a Blu-ray film on the flat screen TV.

Swandown Lodges sit right on the Somerset/Dorset border, not far from both Lyme Regis and Yeovil. The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site and there are some amazing beaches to discover - Brean Beach at Burnham-on-Sea, part of a seven mile stretch of sands, is in the Good Beach Guide and ideal for walking and sports. There are plenty of towns and villages to explore such as Honiton, a busy market town and Beer, a picturesque little smugglers' village.

Excellent lodge on a quiet beautiful development. Nice walks close by. We made use of the hotel leisure club, some of their facilities (hotel)were out of action and could do with updating but this did not detract from our experience at the lodge.

Plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery etc. Lovely log burner in the living space. TV was far away from the sofa area but given the log burner location this was unavoidable and not really an issue.

We stayed in Polden Lodge, absolutely stunning property and immaculately clean. Beautiful, tranquil surroundings and with the added luxury of a hot tub, our short break was perfect in everyway.

good few days, plenty to do and see in the area.
Really peaceful place with relaxed and friendly staff. Large lodge with everything you need, and thoughtful touches from the staff. If your looking for peace and quite away from it all this is the place for you. First time away in a lodge and it was really a pleasant experience and will do again in the warmer weather!
The lodge was stunning. When we arrived it was pretty cold, however, and the heating upstairs was not working. We did not ring the emergency number but planned to go back to reception the next morning. However once the lodge had warmed up we had no issues whatsoever and didn't even need the heating upstairs! Lots to do on site which is mostly free (bike hire, board games, DVDs). Good location, pretty close to the supermarket for shopping and town if you want to go for a wander. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Lodge was well equipped and had most things you would need for a weekend stay. We would definitely come back.
We rely enjoyed staying at Sandown, the lodge was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Would stay there again.
Fab place. Lodge beautifully fitted out. Have been here now over 10 times.
Absolutely perfect! We can’t wait to return!
An amazing and relaxing place to go. The lodge has everything you need to make yourself at home. Brilliant, I recommend it.
Lovely place to take your dog. Friendly staff, beautiful lodge and grounds. Our 10th visit and we will be back. 5 star!!
Excellent lodge, beautifully presented. The lodge manager was incredibly helpful. Will definitely return
Loved this holiday and cannot wait to go back
It was all good. The perfect place.
