We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

Marked down for value purely because of no Wifi. It is a simple fix with a range extender from the nearest lodge.

The lodges are beautiful an spacious home from home, an very cosy an comfortable.
Hot tub was used everyday which was a pleasant ending to our daily travels. The log fire was very welcoming too when the temperatures dipped late on thru the night. Overall very relaxing tranquill settings everything you need at the lodge. The grounds are clean and well kept and plenty of wildlife to keep you occupied. There is a friendly local pub/hotel serves lovely food at reasonable prices and allows dogs inside also.

Lodge was out of this world. Only niggle was not having a toilet upstairs. Otherwise very nice lodge. Sofa could do with updating though as looks like its quite a few years old. Very spacious - has everything you need.

Great lodge, loads of room and well equipped. Even plenty of room for the big dog (German Shepherd).
Good heating and showers worked well. Hot tub was a bonus and helped ease the body after a day walking.
Fantastic location and staff are amazing! Not all tens as no WiFi in the lodge we stayed in (but I know that's being fixed)
Excellent lodge, staff and location.
Had an amazing holiday. Beautiful Lodge, extremely well equipped. Perfect setting. Can't wait to return.
Brilliant! Couldn't ask for better staff or accommodation, wished I lived there.
Great location just up from loch Ness. Very clean and tidy and staff are very friendly and helpful. Only two minor issues was the lack of usable cupboard space in the kitchen and cabins were a little closer to each other than expected
We didn't have a cleaner, no tv channels or phone signal/wi-fi signal in case of emergency. Really enjoyed the stay and our break away, but surely we could have had some clean towels given to us. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again.
Great little lodge! The bedroom was massive and a lovely log fire. Hot tub was great too! Having no mobile signal meant we could fully relax without being stuck to phones. Our little cockapoo Ruby enjoyed it too.
Only points off for no Wi-Fi connection. Orherwise would have been full marks!
Amazing lodge, beautiful surroundings. Staff are great. So helpful. 4th time here and will be back again and again
We had a wonderful holiday. The lodge was even better than we were expecting. There was wildlife in our back garden every day and my 3year old granddaughter loved all the birds that visited the bird feeder. The hot tub was sheltered so even if it was raining we were happy to just sit there. There was no onsite shop, but there was a supermarket a short car ride away. The local pub was a short walk from the site and the food was lovely. I would definitely recommend this site.
