We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

The only disappointment we had was in the first 5 minutes, and lasted 10 seconds, and that was not wild side, thought. When we booked the holiday the write up said the site was on the banks of the Loch Ness, when we arrived the site is to 2 miles away, from Loch Ness,

Fantastic, beautiful ,peaceful, luxurious, beautiful area, almost everything was completely perfect. A Sloppy sofa after a long days walk and bird feeders in the trees (we bought our own) like there have been in the past would have been the icing on the cake
Jonathan

Rochelle
This was our second time staying at Wildside and we loved every minute. The lodge is stunning, the views are tranquil and the staff are great. We had a few problems with the WiFi which is limited but you don’t go to such a peaceful place to sit on the internet all day anyway and the staff tried their best to fix it as soon as they could. Unfortunately there was a family who didn’t obey site rules and caused us some annoyance over the weekend but again the staff dealt with it as soon as we complained. We will definitely be back!
Elizabeth
The wildside lodges, were fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We can’t recommend this site high enough. The extra little touches this site provides were very welcome after a 12 hour car journey. Will definitely be returning.
