We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

Lodge was out of this world. Only niggle was not having a toilet upstairs. Otherwise very nice lodge. Sofa could do with updating though as looks like its quite a few years old. Very spacious - has everything you need.

Great lodge, loads of room and well equipped. Even plenty of room for the big dog (German Shepherd).
Good heating and showers worked well. Hot tub was a bonus and helped ease the body after a day walking.

Went here for a 3 night stay for my Mothers Birthday and had a lovely stay. The cabin was very well equipped and felt homely. The hot tub was in a great location private and yet open enough to enjoy the wildlife. I would highly recommend this site to anyone and will definitely return in the future.
Natalie
Lovely surroundings, great wildlife, rural and quiet area. Great to get away from it all and have a quiet break. A little too remote for me. There was a power cut in the local area on our last night so had to drive to the nearest town to get some food - but most places there were closed by 9pm when got there.
Emma
We had another fantastic holiday at Wildside.
Andrew
Lovely remote area, great for walking and a nice pub on your door step

We really enyoyed the experience and would definitely go back again. Having the option of a pub so close was an added bonus. The lodge was really well presented
Miranda
Fabulously quiet and tranquil location. Staff very helpful and friendly with advise on where to go and even gave us a spare freezer for our dog's frozen food. Can't wait to return in the future.
Kevin
Fabulous lodge. Comfiest bed ever! Spacious and spotlessly clean. My first time in a hot tub was amazing. Tranquil setting (bird lovers bring your camera!). Friendly, helpful staff on hand. Hotel 5 mins walk away did fabulous food, can highly recommend dining there, great prices too.
Gillian
Had a fantastic break at the Wildside Highland Lodges. Exactly what we were after - peace and tranquility and the chance to completely switch off for a while in stunning surroundings. The lodge was perfect with everything we needed and more. Would return in a second!
Lesley
Fab holiday, only issue i had was a letter left in the lodge asking to write down all your card details including security number incase of damages, (data protection) i wonder how this would be held and also when do they shred the information ? I've booked lodges before and a third party on the website has held a deposit. Think it's very very unusual in this day in age to be asked to write down all your card details on a piece of paper to be handed in?? I never filled this in or handed any details in but was never chased up for it even though it stated in bold you must hand this in by the next morning which I thought was strange. Apart from that great lodge.
Claire
Had a lovely time yet again. We will come every year for some r&r
