Just returned from a fantastic long weekend at Lindale park, Birch lodge was really good and well equipped was like home from home. Having the hot tub was a real bonus after a long days walking. Looking forward to returning later in the year.

We had a fantastic weekend at Lindale Park, the owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The guide book they have created inside the lodge suggesting walks and places to eat was brilliant, the lodge was very clean and comfortable as was the hot tub. Our only regret is that we didnt book for longer! We would highly recommend this beautiful and secluded park.

We loved our stay at Lindale Park with our little dog Archie. The location was perfect, away from everywhere but close enough by car. Just what we wanted. The park is a family run affair and everyone is very helpful. It didnt bother us that there wasnt a shop or anything on site as a run into the nearby village was lovely. You can buy anything you should need in there. The only thing that would make it absolutely 10/10 for us would be a dog park to let the dogs off. Just a small area fenced off to let them run around as there is no where around (not near sheep or cows etc) to do this. Would definately book again.
Catherine
Lovely lodge and park so peaceful. Clean, tidy mostly comfortable (each to their own though). Can not fault the place, wildlife is beautiful to.
Roger
Immaculate site, very quiet , well equipped super clean chalet
Helen

Fun Days Out near Lindale Park

Big Sheep - about 3 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - about 9 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - about 13 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
