Our 2nd vivist here loved every minute. Definatly go back.
Excellent from start to end! Could not ask for better.
This is the second time I have visited here and was given the same lodge. Beautiful and quiet place to relax. Lovely lodge and well looked after. Will be coming again. Recommended to friends and family also.
Second stay here & looking to book up for a third time next year with a hot tub this time. Fantastic lodge in beautiful surroundings & lots to see & do in the area. Would highly recommend.
Lodge was lovely-had everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. Made use of the hot tub everyday! Had brill weather throughout the stay,so made it even better! Plenty of lovely places surrounding to drive to. Couldn't have asked for more really!
Excellent location. Very peaceful site. The hot tub was allowed until eleven at night. Very relaxing after a day sightseeing. So much to see and do in this beautiful area.
A little bit off the beaten track for us oldies, but enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Nearest village for shopping some distance away, so you must allow for this. Loved the area and wildlife. We used it as a centre for visiting the surrounding area which is full of history.

Fun Days Out near Lindale Park

Big Sheep - about 3 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - about 9 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - about 13 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
