The luxurious lodges and cottages are beautifully set in the grounds of the historic Gisburn Estate and come very highly recommended.  The area around the site is one of great natural beauty with the stunning Ribble Valley (the inspiration for Tolkien's Lord of the Rings) right on the doorstep.  The Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach offering numerous outdoor pursuits.

Each lodge has been designed to meet the needs of the most discerning guest and manage to seamlessly blend contemporary design with rural charm and comfort.  Enjoy your own private decking area with a sumptuous outdoor hot tub or take advantage of the on site massage therapist to really unwind. A range of traditional beauty treatments are available along with some more holistic alternatives.  Fantastic semi detached cottages with their own gardens and private hot tubs offer another option for accommodation.

Nearby Pendle Hill offers a challenge to keen walkers who can reward themselves afterwards at the famous Assheton Arms in Downham village (the setting of the BBC's Born and Breed drama).  Just a ten minute walk through the Estate from your lodge, you'll discover the stunning market village of Gisburn with a delightful pub, award winning Italian restaurant and quaint shops selling local organic produce gifts and crafts. The Lancashire coastline and numerous market towns are also within reach.

Shame the lodge didn't have a washing machine but apart from that it was perfect! Attention required to cleaning windows between client change over days.

We would highly recommend Chatterley Lodge. A few minor additions would have been appreciated such as a table lamp in the main area and a light over the shower.

Had a great few days here in May 2017. Booked the Friday and arrived Monday. Lovely spacious cabin and great hot tub. Food at the restaurant was lovely. Lots of wildlife, deers, rabbits and the lovely peacocks that seemed quite tame!!

The access steps are a little bit strange . the top step is probably 2" too high . but we had a couple of friends and family visit on my wifes birthday and everybody ( literally ) tripped on the top step .
Perfect in all other areas

There was absolutely nothing to fault with the lodge it was absolutely gorgeous and everything we wanted it to be like! However the staff really angered me during my stay, I asked to book a BBQ on the Friday that I checked in and was told not to bother booking and to just come on the day and they'd sort it for us there and then, however when we went to the cafe the following afternoon to get one, I was told there was absolutely none left and that they'd all sold out already. We had bought an expensive amount of BBQ food being assured we would get one on your website and by your staff. The worst part was there was no apology for the inconvenience infact I was made to feel like I was overreacting being so annoyed and upset. All I would have wanted was a ' we are so sorry for the inconvenience however we will take your number and if one comes available you will be the first to know' then I would have been completely understanding.
I wouldn't say it ruined my stay because everything else was perfect! Just for future reference so you don't do this to someone else. You should let people be aware that there is a possibility they won't get one before they plan there holiday around a BBQ.

Lovely lodge. Only let down was the cheap combi boiler which could provide hot water only when set at low pressure, so to fill the jacuzzi bath took 30 minutes.

The holiday was perfect except for 1 small problem which was the outside decking area of the lodge which was quite small for our dog. Our previous stay was in the Amberwood lodge No11 I think which was more suitable for a dog in our opinion, but this didn't deter from the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of our holiday 😊
Really enjoyed the lodge but the mattress was really worn out and it spoilt the short break. Mentioned it to staff on our departure, who didn't really seem bothered.
We loved our time here and woud definitely come again. Couldn't use the hot tub on two evenings because firstly it was far too hot and secondly too cold. Although someome came out within about ten minutes this could have perhaps been avoided if the temperature was checked at the same time as the chemical levels.
Had a lovely relaxing break. The weather definately made it even better. Not much to do in Gisburn but if it's relaxation you want here is the place.
We had a fantastic holiday staying in a Chatterley Lodge. Plenty of space for the two of us and the lodge was very modern and exceptionally clean. We loved the hot tub and jacuzzi bath. Nothing was too much trouble for the maintenance men who came out straight away if there was a problem. Friendly place to take dogs and lots of marvellous walks. We visited Malham Cove and Bolton Abbey while we were there, lots of places to visit within a 30 minute drive. Loved the place and want to return again next year.
We were very impressed with the lodge and hot tub.
We had a fantastic time, and cannot wait to go back. We used our Tesco club card vouchers which was so easy to book. Lodge was decorated to high standard. Staff polite friendly. Very relaxing location and hot tub was amazing.
Great lodge, lovely site only minor fault is poor wifi and Tv uses a digi box but these are minor complaints. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.
We had a fabulous 3 night stay in our lodge, very relaxing, which is just what we needed after walking the 3 peak challenge. We would recommend this place and the lodge to anyone and not forgetting the cafeteria on site, absolutely lush food and great staff, the home made jam to buy and take away Is to die for!
A lovely relaxing weekend break made perfect by the facilities and comfort of the lodge.
We had a lovely relaxing week in comfortable and peaceful surroundings. The lodge was well set out and we loved the bath and shower in the bedroom. We would certainly recommend and will definitely be booking again.
