Hunters Quay is an action packed holiday spot for families and couples alike! The setting is beautiful; it’s next to the Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde, and surrounded by glens where you’ll find an array of walking trails and wildlife. There’s loads for the kids to get involved with – from archery to WaterWalkerz – and with the wonderful Scottish lochs within easy reach, the whole family is going to be spoilt for choice.

There are simply too many superb facilities at Hunters Quay to list! With two indoor heated swimming pools, you can go snorkelling and try your hand at sea scooters and raft building. The park has an indoor and outdoor children’s play area and a games room - as well as badminton, archery, crossbows, fencing, Body Zorbs, Aeroball and Pana Soccer. There is also a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi for the adults – and a host of other activities to keep you busy.

We love the Oak Premier Lodge 6 which is brand new for 2012 and sleeps up to six people. It has been fully interior designed and represents the height of luxury with magnificent views over the Loch Lomond National Park. The lodge has a verandah and outdoor barbecue area with its own private hot tub, a spacious living area and a flat screen TV in all three bedrooms.

Argyllshire and Islands is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where majestic landscapes, spectacular coastal scenery and lochside villages abound. Visitors to the area will love the superb walks and cycle paths. You could relive 500 years of turbulent Viking history at Vikingar in Largs – or head to Fins Seafood Restaurant in Fairlie for some delicious oysters, scallops and home-smoked salmon!

Our Top Tip
"The David Marshall Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle is a great place to go for guided walks, talks and seasonal activities."

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The lodge was gorgeous and we had the best view in the park.

Nice clean lodge in beautiful surroundings. Only negatives were no gate on balcony and shower pressure poor. Teenagers were hoping to do laser combat but it was closed. Service for lunch was very slow however this had improved by dinner.

Would certainly come back.

Only issue was inconsistency of hot-tub care. Whilst it was done every morning without fail, maintenance ranged from a good 15 minutes to the time it took to open the lid, throw in some powder, close the lid and leave, which amounted to approximately 2 minutes and without any levels being checked.

Apart from the above issue and the fact that a cycle was out of commission in the gym and the other warm-up cycle was hogged by a lady reading her paper for the whole time my wife and I were there (around 45 minutes), the whole family enjoyed themselves immensely.

I will certainly be returning to Hunter's Quay.

We had a fab time on our stay. The hot tub lodge was lovely and spacious. We never used any facilities on site as we went in the town on the Saturday and the hot tub kept us amused. Would come back any time. Thinking of coming back at winter time
Trevor
Great accommodation, great facilities. Only wish the bar prices were realistic
JENNIFER
Nice clean lodge. Shower pressure low. No gate on balcony.
Patrick
Great family holiday with lots to do whatever the weather.
Linda
Log Cabin was really lovely had a very enjoyable stay
Valerie
Had a lovely holiday, only down side having to pay £5 per day extra to cover electric and heating. The kids entertainment room/hall was ok but a bit cramped because the main entertainment was being shown in there. The other lounge was nice if only they opened the bar to save you having to go into the hall. Food was nice, swimming pool was clean and kids enjoyed it.
John
AN excellent location with friendly staff

Fun Days Out near Hunters Quay

Inveraray Jail - about 18 Miles

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.
