Nine miles south of Aberystwyth and just one and a half miles from the nearest beach, Penrhos Park offers the perfect holiday experience for golf lovers and those who just want to explore the nearby historic towns and harbour villages. The facilities are excellent - there are two bars and a bistro on the park as well as a bowling green and tennis courts.

Fishing and riding are both available locally and Penrhos Park also has an indoor heated swimming pool, leisure centre, gym, steam room, sauna and solarium. You can take advantage of a challenging 18 hole golf course or a 9 hole par 3 or par 4 course with a driving range and reduced green fees. The Penrhos Bistro serves a good selection of freshly prepared and locally sourced meals.

We recommend the Osprey and the Kestrel VIP lodges, both with their own private decking areas and gorgeous outdoor hot tubs. Osprey VIP sleeps up to six people and the master double has an ensuite bathroom. It's a truly outstanding two storey, Scandinavian style log cabin - spacious, luxurious and beautifully equipped.

There are plenty of beaches along Cardigan Bay and you can take a wildlife boat trip from New Quay and be almost certain to spot grey seals and porpoises. Take a bike ride along the beautiful Dysynnii Valley near Twywn - it's virtually traffic-free so completely safe for cyclists and walkers. For a bit of light refreshment, the Lamb & Flag Inn at Rhayader serves real ale and home cooked meals.

Our Top Tip
"A visit to The Spice Cottage is a must for food lovers as it's been voted the best curry house in Wales.  The location is in Rhayader 26 miles from Penrhos Park."

Lovely log cabin just a few extra things would have been really good like plastic glasses to use when using the hot tub , an extra set of cutlery and dishes so you could fully load the dish washer ( I didn't use it because I thought it was a waste of water to wash just four plates etc) and maybe an extra chair in the lounge area . Not complaining we really enjoyed the log cabin and would stay here again.

Nicola
absoloutely stunning lodge with beautiful views and a nice quiet location the food in the restaraunt is lovely nice portion sizes and tastes amazing! my only fault is that for the price you pay you arent supplied with tea towels/washing up supplies and also for a lodge that sleeps six the fridge and freezer are very small there is amble room to upgrade them but we are already booked to go back next year so dont let that put you off
Elizabeth
We had a lovely holiday in Penrhos park, it was very peaceful , staff couldn't be more helpful and the log cabin was in a lovely position overlooking the park with great views . Hot tub was very welcoming after a busy day enjoying the surrounding area .
Barbara
We have used the site a few times and find it well laid out and very peaceful although we don't stay on site during the day as we have family living close by.
Darrell
Our first time here .we were not disappointed. Lovely location, plenty of places to visit.
Andrew
Lovely location with great facilities ,however food in the clubhouse was expensive and poor quality.
