"Our stay at Elton Furze was great. The lodge was well equipped, spacious bedrooms and clean. It was also decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch. The host, Fee was extremely helpful and communicative and was able to offer an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. We will certainly be going back!"

"Simply amazing"

"If you are considering this holiday lodge for a relaxing self catering retreat stop dithering and book it! We managed to find a deal here a few days before and stayed for 7 nights mid September in Florence lodge for my birthday and it was excellent. There are 3 lodges nestled in some woodland area on the grounds of Elton Furze Golf club. The lodges are fairly close together but far enough apart to feel like you have all the privacy you would require and comfortable parking area right next to your lodge. The Florence lodge is semi open plan with one good sized bedroom with lovely giant bed, bed side tables plugs USB sockets, lamps, wall mounted TV and clever walk in wardrobe area with dressing table to sit and dry your hair etc (they have a hair dryer and fan in the bedroom)Off the bedroom is a very spacious bathroom with great big bathtub, huge walk in shower, toilet and sink with back lit mirror. The kitchen/dining living area is lovely and modern. The lounge has two sofas and an arm chair and pouffe/stool, glass coffee table and biiig flat screen TV on the wall perfect for cosy film nights or playing music. The kitchen had a good size fridge freezer, oven, gas hob, sink, dining table for two, microwave and pretty much everything utensil, pan, oven tray, cutlery and crockery wise you could need! Id recommend arriving and checking everything out and seeing what you might need for your requirements eg cooking oil, extra toilet rolls, surface wipes etc apparently you can get shopping deliveries to the lodge! We did a good shop at a massive Tesco extra nearby. You can access the decking several ways. From the road, from a single door in the kitchen, from a large sliding door in the kitchen or directly from the bathroom. The bathroom door going onto the decking right near the hot tub is super practical and streamlined for showering before and after you take a dip. There is ample decking which wraps round two whole sides of the lodge and the hot tub area is purposefully secluded and tucked away which is perfect if youre not keen on being spotted in your costume! As well as the gorgeous big hot tub there is a two seater rattan sofa with built in central table, two sun loungers and an outdoor table with four chairs and parasol. As we were here in September with rain and lots of windy days the outdoor area where both the bathroom door and sliding kitchen doors meet was a really beautiful feature. It is a good space under cover so you can still sit outside and look over the trees etc without getting wet. We popped the table here and had lovely brunches. They have wooden panels above with twinkly led lights which was really pretty and made it really nice to spend evenings outside even in bad weather! No glass outside which is totally understandable but they had plastic cups etc to use on the decking. I personally like to have a large pint size glass for cold drinks and water filled with lots of ice so next time we visit I would probably bring my large metal flask with lid and straw to use inside and outside. Bring some bags of ice or ice bags to pop in the freezer ready for a nice chilled drink when you arrive! We had one minor issue with the internet which was sorted out very swiftly but this was down to some pretty grotty weather and considering the forest like location not that surprising. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and respectful. The hot tub is checked twice a day, again very quickly and unless you are outside you wouldnt notice. They just lift the tub lid and check the water. I believe they use an alternative to chlorine which seemed less harsh on the skin and wasnt such a strong smell which was good and the water was lovely and clear and ready to use 24/7. Ocassionally had to fish out some leaves and seeds that fell from the trees above but they have a handy little net for this and thats to be expected in the location. Lovely watching the trees swaying in the wild winds we had when we visited. The location is good, not far off the motorway and many other main roads but you would never tell. We stayed in most the time and enjoyed watching movies (you can log into your Netflix/prime accounts), we enjoyed cooking, playing games and enjoying the hot tub. You need a car if you want to get out and about everyday. We took a few trips out 14mins to a great showcase cinema and about 10mins to loads of huge retails parks, supermarkets etc. perfect balance of calm location with amenities a short drive away. Every window and door has an adjustable roller or Venetian blind which is great for privacy and for those that like a lie in and the bathroom door to the decking is misted so you get some extra light during the day still with privacy. There is an ashtray outside to use outside if needed which we felt was quite inclusive these days, thank you. This is the only sign though, so non smokers can be fully assured the decking and furniture are pristine and the interiors are definitely non smoking and very fresh clean and clear. We wouldnt hesitate to come back here again and have recommended to friends and family. It was spotless, clean, the fittings and fixtures, towels, furniture and bedding were all lovely quality and it really felt like a luxury home away from home. We were looking for a cosy hideaway and this was perfect but it would also make a fantastic base for golfers, walkers, cyclists and those looking to spend more time exploring the local areas.Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to visit again next year!"
Howard - Nov 2023
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Foxy Lodge. The setting is absolutely perfect for a very peaceful and relaxing break. The lodge is outstanding in every way and has everything and more you could possible want for an idyllic break. The hot tub is simply lovely. The little welcome touches were excellent too, a chilled bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, biscuits, tea and coffee. The whole experience was simply superb! Looking forward to returning soon!Done"
Jane - Nov 2023
"Beautiful lodge. Very comfortable. Well appointed and surrounded by woodland. Lovely hot tub. Well furnished. Lovely big bathroom and bed was very comfy with nice little dressing area"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"The lodge has everything andore for 2 people (5 seats on sofas, 4 seats on decking). The under cover area and hot tub are great, best we have used (10+ lodge hot tub breaks)."
Tim - Jul 2023
"Had a wonderful break at Elton Furze. The lodge we stayed in was immaculate and the surroundings very peaceful. Would highly recommend as a weekend getaway."
Chris - Aug 2020
"Absolutely loved the lodge, the decor, environment and hot tub were of a very high standard and certainly made up for the 'Great British Summer'.. Will definitely come back again!"
Chris - Aug 2020
"We spent a week in the gorgeous cabin 'Foxy' at Elton Furze Retreat and loved it. It was the perfect staycation for us as we were away from everything but near enough to drive to the shops and nearby lakes. The hot tub was perfect all week and the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. There are only three cabins which means it's quiet and they are arranged so you have the utmost privacy. Inside, the cabin is of high quality and the bathrooms have external doors onto the decking which is great for pre and post hot tub showering. I would highly recommend staying here if this type of break appeals to you."
Suzanne - Aug 2020
"What can we say about Elton Furze Retreats. Its a wonderful peaceful lodge escape.
We wanted pure relaxation and relaxation was what we got.

We booked the Furze lodge as part of the Safer Stay guarantee and we were not disappointed.
As soon as we walked in you could tell just how loved and well looked after the lodges are.

Despite some items being removed due to Covid 19, the kitchen was well stocked and I had no problem cooking meals.

Fee and her team were friendly and welcoming. Even leaving tea, coffee, biscuits, chocolate and a bottle of prosecco as a welcome gift.

If you like playing golf you have a large course right on your doorstep.

We stayed for a week in August.

The biggest compliement we could give is that we would love to return one day and have recommended it to everyone."
Jennifer - Aug 2020
"The Foxy Lodge is absolutely amazing! The lodge is located in great surroundings full of trees and greenery, the 3 lodges on the grounds are spaced out from each other. Foxy had a real home away from home feeling. We have already rebooked for later on in the year."
Hannah - Jul 2020
"Perfect location.
Luxurious lodge.
Total relaxation."
Michael - Jul 2020
"We had an absolutely fantastic time here. The lodge was immaculate and set in an amazing location in the middle of a small woodland. Inside the lodge is beautifully decorated, with each bedroom having its own en-suite with direct access to the decking and hot tub. We stayed here for one week and were very comfortable. We will definitely be returning!"
Matthew - Jul 2020
"What a fantastic little find these lodges were. Only 3 of them so very private. We stayed in Furze. Immaculate throughout and spotlessly clean. Nice bottle of prosecco waiting for us and biccies. Nice little touches especially loved the spare towels for the hot tub. Lovely welcome by Fee. Definitely returning but for longer next time....4 nights wasn't enough. The resident hares that visited were a joy to watch. Definitely recommend these lodges to get away and unwind...."
Kirsty - Jul 2020

Michaela - Jul 2020

"Myself and my Fianc were looking for a little break and came across these beautiful lodges. They did not disappoint! Stunning, clean, modern with amazing forest views all around. The staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. We got shown to our lodge where there was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge and a little box of chocolates which was a great touch. 10/10 for everything! We will most definitely be back. Thank you!"
Natasha - Feb 2020

Rebekah - Feb 2020
"Have recently returned from a 4 night stay in the new lodges on site, and we cant wait to return. Everything was perfect - from the smooth booking process, the communication from Fee who was more than happy to answer an abundance of questions, to the actual lodges themselves.

They have everything you could possibly need for a stress free week away, surrounded by beautiful scenery and easily accessible neighbouring towns and villages.

The staff were amazing, and extremely accommodating especially coming to meet us after their normal checking in time as we were unable to make it for then.

Everything in the lodge is high quality and blew our expectations out of the park, beds and sofas are comfortable and the whole place is immaculate.

The Elton furze lodges are nothing short of paradise, and at a reasonable price too!"
Megan - Jan 2020
"Try it, youll love it!"
Kenny - Jan 2020
"We stayed in a lodge called Florence which was stunning. The comfort and cleanliness was outstanding. If you just want to relax, put your feet up, binge watch tv, have a glass of wine or two and go in and out of a hot tub, this is the place for you. Absolutely everything has been thought of in the lodge. Even down to the twinkling lights outside which are beautiful when sitting in the hot tub in the evening. It's like being out under the stars! Everything has been thought of here and you want for nothing.

Once we arrived, we stayed put! You can go and visit local places, but we took everything we needed with us and had a chillaxing weekend after a very busy Christmas and New Year with family and friends. Definitely recommend this lodge and we will be back!! Thank you so much Fee and Ben."
Josie - Jan 2020
"We had an absolutely lovely weekend away! So relaxing, the lodge had everything we needed, and the hot tub was great! You would never know you are in the middle of a golf course, the lodge is surrounded by woods/ trees and it was nice that there are only 3 lodges on-site, so plenty of privacy.

The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal."
Rhyan - Jan 1970
"Beautiful lodge with amazing facilities and a beautiful location , If you want a peaceful, relaxing break I would recommend this every time. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Visit you will not be disappointed!!!!"

"Beautiful location with superb lodges"
Tracey - Jul 2022
"Total peace and quiet, the perfect place to chill."
Lynn - May 2022
"We had a lovely stay in Foxy at Elton Furze. The lodge is spacious and the two showers rooms are a high spec. The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub is clean and well maintained. The decking area and hot tub are very private. One very minor point is that is would be useful in the showers to have a shelf to put toiletries on."
Louise - May 2022
"Lovely location, plenty to see in the area and very helpful staff."
Chris - Apr 2022
"Absolutely perfect."
Ben - Mar 2022
"If its a quiet couples break away that you are looking for in a peaceful environment then this is the place for you! In 10 years booking through hoseasons it is by far the quietest and spotlessly clean lodge we have ever stayed in. I have racked my brains for 48 hours to try and find a small fault but quite simply...there are none! Comfortable, well equipped, luxurious lodge with plenty of space and everything you need. Will return at some point! Well done to the entire team at Elton Furze. Exceptional!"
Adam - Mar 2022

"I booked this as a surprise for my Fiancés birthday . It was the most beautiful place we have ever been too. The lodge was outstanding and if such a high standard. The tranquility and surroundings were second to none. The golf course and club was brilliant and everyone was so friendly. The staff was amazing And couldn’t do enough to help and was so accommodating and friendly and made the whole experience very personal. Even when we come home which we didn’t want to leave they still emailed us such a lovely touch. We would certainly recommend it to everyone and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you Lisa , Fee and Martin xx"

"My partner and I booked The Furze for our 10 year anniversary together and we can 100% say that it definitely met our expectations and more! We absolutely loved it and the cleanliness of the lodge was great. Punja - Feb 2022

Amy - Jan 2022
"We have recently returned from an amazingly wonderful 4 night break at Furze Lodge. The perfect and magical setting to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, to enjoy the beautifully fitted out Lodge to a high standard throughout, and relax in the hot tub in a peaceful and secluded surrounding was everything and more that we could have wished for. The complimentary bottle of prosecco & chocolates were also a special surprise. We will definitely return, and highly recommend this lodge for your stay."
Carol - Jan 2022
"We loved our stay. The lodge was beautiful, with all the comforts. Spotless! The hot tub great! We staid in the Furze and as it’s set back from the other 2 lodges, it was very private. It was so comfortable and relaxing that we found it difficult to leave and go back to reality! Although we have not met the staff because we arrived late and left late, the communication was excellent and we knew that we had been taken care of. We would certainly recommend the Elton Furze Retreats and would love to go back ourselves."
