The park is home to a superb array of wildlife and you can discover many walking paths and nature trails through the beautiful Slaley Forest and the local countryside right on your doorstep.

Close by the market town of Hexham with its ancient Abbey dating back to 674AD is well worth a visit. Northumberland National Park and the breathtaking North East coastline are also within easy reach and offer an excellent range of outdoor activities.

Springhouse Country Park Reviews

Richard, Paula and Ruby Henderson
We had a great weekend at Springwood. Our doughter is 3 and it was really nice for her to toddle around the site, chase the birds and play with the other kids. Everyone there very friendly , lots of owned caravans so a sense of community. Nice and close so ideal for a short weekend break.

The odd fitting was broken but nothing serious. Wouldn't stop me going again. We used it as a base for adventures and was the perfect place to return to

Wonderful! Really spacious and clean. Came complete with dishwasher and washing machine. The double bedroom had an ensure and there was also a separate shower with toilet. Could not find fault with anything. A nice extra touch was the provision of towels and toothpaste, as well as a small shower gel, washing up liquid and tea towel. Thank you for this!

A comfy mobile home that had all the facilities you need, very clean through out.

Heating was switched on prior to our arrival, we even had a radiator in the bedroom, so it was nice and cozy. Complimentary tea and biscuits, tea towels and washing-up liquid. The park is quiet, in a very rural location, which suited us fine. We had our dogs with us and there were plenty of possibilities for nice walks. Lots of wildlife and birds. Park environment is very well cared for.

Needed a bigger bin!
A beautiful remote sight, surrounded by pine trees. The only slight negative was the fact that a lot of tree felling was taking place in the area, which did look unsightly; however new trees were being replanted.
Absolute stunning location, peaceful and very quiet
Our third visit to this park in four years. Beautiful part of the world, with some lovely walks. Really like what the park has to offer, quietness is the word that comes to mind. The wildlife is amazing, if you like bird watching you are in for a treat. Hope a club house is never built as the park is perfect as it is. The staff are lovely and really go the extra mile to be helpful, we will be returning very soon. In all a relaxing break and really recommend the place. Caravans are clean and comfortable with everything you need. The bed linen and towels were spotless and as always everything is kept to a very high standard A special thank you to The Ironing Lady who is in charge of the cleaning ect, thank you for making our beds up for us and the loan of a hair dryer your a true star.
Great park, quiet and felt safe. My children made some friends and loved the play areas.
Beautiful site, helpful staff, great caravan will definitely stay again...Thankyou
We enjoyed our stay very much. The park is quiet and very well cared for. Location is remote and rural, perfect for walking. We went to Hexham for groceries etc.
Springhouse country park is in a lovely quiet area, lots of facilities that would suit both couples and families, the mobile home was spotless and the courtesy tea. coffee jams and toiletries as well as washing up liquid were a nice touch that not every caravan park provides. We would highly recommend Springhouse country park to anyone and will definitely come back again in the future.
The site was very well kept and lovely.
Very enjoyable short break. Very peaceful. It was very warm and comfortable accommodation and it exceeded expectations.
We stayed here for locality to slaley hall as we had a birthday celebration weekend. Very remote but that's what I like

Go Ape Northumberland - about 10 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
