Hawthorn Glen Lodges Reviews

"Beautiful lodge, had everything you needed and was spotlessly clean. Lovely quiet location with views across the golf course."
Catherine - Feb 2024
"Absolute beautiful stay for a girls weekend. Would be perfect for a couples weekend away. Nice relaxed environment. Very clean and tidy and had all of the necessary equipment for cooking. We were running slightly late due to traffic, the manager made sure, the key was left safely for us, turned the hot tub and heating on. So when we arrived the place was cosy and comfortable straight away. Fantastic service. Would 100% recommend and stay again."

"Great place to stay if you want a nice place to relax. If you stay in the winter months make sure to bring a dressing gown to put on when you get out of the it tub. The hot tub has lights inside it that change colours and you can turn the bubbles on or off. Temperature of the water was spot on too. Even when it was only 2 degrees outside."

"Will definitely be going back"
Elizabeth - Jul 2019
"Would definitely recommend. Very nice lodge and a good base, if you want to explore the surrounding areas. Idea if you just want a relaxing break, nothing on site for children no play ground or pool ect."
Sophia - Jun 2019
"The Empress lodge is in one word a dream. Very spacious, very comfortable with everything you need like dishwasher, microwave oven, oven, fridge and even a washing machine which is very handy. The lodge has also a jacuzzi which is a real treat! We used it often, almost every night. The bedrooms, especially the master bedroom is also very spacious and has an ensuite. The other bedroom has two single beds and a separate bathroom. The decking is situated so you can have the morning sun and the evening sun. The kitchen is very well equiped. We had a lovely stay and would love to stay more often."
Conny - May 2019
"Lovely place to stay"
Andrew - May 2019
"Great relaxing break"
Kerry - May 2019
"Apart from the RAF fighter jets taking off once in a while some distance away this is a very quiet getaway. This is THE perfect place to unwind and relax. Tecos's is 6 mins by car so you do not have to travel far for your shopping. There is also a hot tub that is checked regularly by the staff so it is always clean. This is a great stress relief if you have been on a long drive, or again you want to simply unwind. With the choice of paying and playing a round of golf there is no better way to just simply chill. It is also a great place to base yourself to visit some of the great tourist attractions nearby. As a recommendation goes. we can not wait to return to this site again"
Mark - Aug 2022
"Lovely tranquil setting ! Staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Lodge was beautifully presented and very comfortable. It was well equipped and clean. Hot tub was in a very private position and was a great feature of the hire. The view from the lounge area of the lodge was across the golf course . We saw a little Muntjac coming trotting across the golf course and past put lodge a couple of times ! Rey. Dry nice ! Would definitely book again."
George - Aug 2022
"Did not use"
Jennifer - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge on a golf course. Everything you need was there including coffee and biscuits!"
Toni - Jul 2022
"Had an amazing time. Lots of places around to go and see. Staff at hawthorn glen lodges were fantastic. 100% will be looking to go again."
Lewis - Jun 2022
"Our third visit. Excellent Lodge Spacious and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The new patio is very good with comfortable seating. Very good value food and drinks. I’m sure that we will return in the future."
John - Jun 2022
"Peaceful location, beautiful spacious lodge, very clean, perfect for a relaxing break."
Rachel - Jun 2022
"Fantastic Holiday,totally relaxing ?"
Nicholas - Jun 2022
"Lovely stay really quiet and nice location"
Anthony - May 2022
"Very nice lodge. Only two lodges currently. Situated on a golf course and was very quiet. Lodge was very clean and spacious. Would advise however to take your own hairdryer as could not locate one. Also, if you like fresh coffee, take your own cafetière. Hot tub was lovely and was located in a private, secluded area outside the front door. About 50 minutes from Cambridge park and ride and about 30 minutes from Kings Lynn. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi was excellent and TV has access to Netflix, iPlayer, Prime for streaming."
Joanne - May 2022
"Great location to explore Norfolk. The lodge has everything you would expect for an enjoyable break. The bonus is the spa pool….even when it’s raining!!!"
John - May 2022
"A lovely spotlessly clean lodge. Minor points would be hooks on bedroom doors, decent shelf in bathroom, outdoor loungers."
Sharon - May 2022
"A perfect place to stay for a short break, so quiet and peaceful. The lodge was immaculate, hot tub lovely and warm and hidden away down the side of the lodge. We will definitely return."
Helen - May 2022

Attractions Near Hawthorn Glen Lodges

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Hawthorn Glen Lodges. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 23 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 23 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 27 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 27 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 29 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 33 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 37 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 39 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
