With a wonderful view over a private lake, Colliery Lane Lodges are a relaxing and rural retreat, ideal for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.  The lodges are boutique in style, something out of the ordinary and with a luxurious finish.  All this combined with the gorgeous location next to the Peak District National Park make these lodges highly desirable.

If you like fishing you'll be in your element here with a fishing lake right on the doorstep.  Or simply sit back and enjoy the views from your private bubbling hot tub.  You can even watch the sun set across the lake!

Both couples and families will find plenty to do in this region of Derbyshire.  Theme parks are popular in the area with Drayton Manor Theme Park just 16 miles from the lodges.  And of course the fabulous Alton Towers can be reached in less than an hour.

The Colliery Lodge is a spacious and modern lodge with 3 bedrooms and an open plan living and kitchen area. The real highlights of this lodge are the gorgeous views of the lake and the private hot tub.

everything you needed was provided. Only small thing , I missed the turning ( gate ) to Colliery lodges as road works at beginning of site and gate was open therefore drove all the way down Colliery Road , other sites have signage opposite as well at the entrance and on main roads so maybe this is something to think about for the future. Friendly owners but also respected our privacy so that was just right for us

The lodge was very modern, all the beds was made up and was very comfortable, in the kitchen there was everything that you need it for that weekend away dishwasher washing machine microwave slow cooker. Value for money I think it's well worth it we was actually in three bedrooms and two bathrooms and there's only two of us plenty of room to move about

Wonderful lodge, we were very impressed indeed! Loved the hot tub and the lodge itself was so spacious, even with 3 lively kids!
So much to do close by with children and we loved coming back to such a quiet intimate site. We would definitely return here

Fantastic place, was clean and tidy. lovely staff helped within minuites of reporting a problem and had it fixed straight away. The place was lovely and warm in the middle of Janurary and the hot tub was ready to go before we arrived. got a great price and actually cheaper than a hotel but with all the space and comfort.

These beautiful lodges are excellent value for money and we've already booked to go back. The owners are very friendly people and go the extra mile to make your stay very enjoyable. Pete borrowed me some tackle to do a bit of fishing, he also provided me with the bait and helped me with lots of advice on how to catch the fish. You can kick back and relax, do nothing and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or its a great base to explore whats on offer in the local area either has a couple or has a family. We have stayed in lots of lodges but colliery lane takes some beating, we cant wait until our next visit.

Seriously impressed with the extremely high standard of the lodge, particularly the internal decor. However, I have been asked to register a comment regarding the absence of a full set of quality wine glasses, I think there were 3 , the rest were plastic. We had taken our own plastic glasses for our external use, but your plastic glasses at a Xmas dinner table didn't look good but in no way spoilt our dinner. A bedside light in bedroom 3 wouldn't have come amiss either. Having said that, we considered the kitchen & associated facilities were exceptional.
We had a fantastic time there & wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge on this location to anyone who asks. Grateful thanks, JW

We stayed mon-fri Easter week. The lodges are incredibly well equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was ready to use on arrival and was well used over the week. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful (though we didn't need them as we had everything we could need and more). Location is handy for conkers, the national forest, twycross, adventure farm, alrewas arboretum. Highly recommended thank you 😊

Amazing place, had a lovely weekend away. Will definatly be visiting again!

A great place for a family weekend. We had plans for what we might do but the hot tub, trampoline, football nets and fishing lake kept children and adults amused . A first carp for the real fisherman in the party and the first fish for 2 of the children. The lodges are fairly well equipped and spaced out so we weren't on top of our neighbours.

We honestly had the best time staying at the Lodge. There was 5 20-25 year old's staying together on holiday and for us, it was the best holiday we have had together. We were so impressed at the value for money and the cleanliness of the place. The staff were amazing and sent us in the right direction to the town, food etc etc. They came to check we was okay and made our stay so homely. The lodge was kitted out with everything we needed and the surroundings were just perfect. We are already trying to organise our next trip down there! Yay!!
Victoria
Lovely accommodation and surrounding area. Really enjoyed our weekend away.

The Lodges were beautiful just like new. A quiet location only 4 lodges on site. There is a dog kennels near by but they only start barking from about 8am so not too bad. I enjoyed the hot tub but be mindful of the chlorine level and if in doubt ask for a check. Would recommend travelling up a bit into the peaks to experience some amazing scenery.

Excellent location. Very quiet and peaceful. When booked it stated there was on going work on the site. Between 8-5. Was never aware of it. On arrival the only Negative we had was the cleanliness of the Kitchen. Had to wipe down work tops as all sticky. Had to wash glasses. They had lipstick on some of them. The fridge needed cleaning. And a few drawers with crumbs and peanuts. Thanks to the previous tenant. :-) But really it was only MINOR to us. It is the 1st time we had to clean anything from a Hoseasons place. Overall very good value. We had a great time. We would go back. Beds could be doing with replacing soon. But we all slept well. The onsite staff are very pleasant to speak to. It is a good location and nice and roomy. So thank you. We will be back.
Margaret
The location was easy to find, when we arrived there was young girl waiting for us,who was very friendly and advised us that if we need anything it was just a phone call away. The area was very quiet and peaceful which that's what I wanted for nice chillout weekend
Jackie
