The lodge was clean, well equipped and well maintained. The only reason it's not 10s all round is the shower was a little tired and the base felt slightly precarious in certain areas, but it was totally useable so not a huge problem whatsoever.

We stayed in acorn lodge. The road to the lodge was a bit of nightmare as uneven with potholes but it was a farm track so can't really complain but a decent road would make it 10 out of 10.
Gerry met us at the lodge she showed us round and gave fab recommendations on where to eat which we did use and were excellent. The lodge is close to MacArthur glen outlet and she advised the park and ride to York which we did use and this was fab it cost £6 return for two of us took about 15 mins and dropped us right in centre of York.
The lodge was beautiful very grand and exceeded our expectations. The steam shower was great and the hot tub fab but disappointing that the lid opened towards the lake and blocked the view but this was a very minor point ! We loved our time s great property in a great location, it was expensive but as a luxury treat it certainly fitted the bill, can't wait to return.

lodge clean and comfortable . sofa may be looking a little tired but that didnt spoil our stay
Stayed in acorn lodge and could not fault it
A lovely break and run by friendly and approachable couple The lodge was spacious and gave us everything we needed including the hot tub
Prefect secluded, relaxing lodge holiday.
Amazing log cabin, great host, lots of info of local surroundings. In my opinion just missing a few special touches in comparison to other lodges, dressing gowns could be made available at a small charge
Amazing, really clean and beautiful inside, Gerry the owner was very helpful, loved it.
We were made to feel very welcome, the lodge was modern and lovely, book was left with recommendations for all local places. Manager had put out balloons and banners for a 40th birthday. Was such a lovely place and would definatley go back and recommend to others.
It was such a beautiful place & Gerry couldn't do enough for us!! It's a shame it's just not a bit closer to york but would still definitely recommend this place
Fantastic break, lovely place and people will be back soon
Simply amazing. Not one fault, Gerry did everything she could to help! Will 100% be returning!
