For a luxurious lodge holiday then we highly recommend Wighill Manor Lodges which are a new addition to the lodges with hot tubs range. A real rural retreat in lovely Yorkshire you can enjoy many outdoor activities and fantastic walks right on the doorstep.

The Chestnut Lodge is a popular choice sleeping up to 6 adults.  With a stylish interior, master double bedroom with en suite shower room and two twin bedrooms this lodge would suit families or couples. The outdoor hot tub positioned on the private decking area provides the ideal place to relax and really pamper yourself. With double glazing and central heating it's a cosy retreat all year round.

For couples the Willow Lodge is ideal.  New in 2010 this is a superb contemporary lodge with a luxury en suite bathroom with a double ended bath.  The living area and double bedroom are well designed and decorated to a high standard. The Willow Lodge also enjoys a private outdoor hot tub.

Last but not least the Hawthorne Lodge sleeps 4 and is just as stylish and well designed as the other lodges on this site.  With one master double bedroom and a twin room this lodge would be most suited to families.  The secluded decking area is home to an outdoor hot tub and as with the other lodges there is double glazing and central heating.

All of the lodges could be described as modern and enjoy mod cons including flatscreen TV/DVD, freeview and well equipped kitchen with microwave.

If you like to get out and explore the local area has much to offer.  Some enjoyable days out include the York Dungeon and York Races both of which are within easy reach of Wighill Manor Lodges.  For families Monk Park Farm is well worth a visit in Bagby around 21 miles from the lodges.  Here you will find an adventure playground, farm and nature trail among other things.

A quiet and lovely place.
Super quiet, the Lodge was fantastically looked after. Good local pub very close with beer garden & great food.
As beautiful as the first time 4 years ago . Everything is kept like new .
excellent very friendly and helpful asked for a BBQ got it straight away weather helped too good location peaceful
Second time at lodges, yet again friendly helpful staff and welcome. Suits all your needs for a quiet peaceful break. Nice touch with milk and coffee etc for your arrival. Very nice quality of accommodation. Only negative is no wifi and even when away for a peaceful break I'm afraid wifi is a necessity when phone signal is poor.

Fun Days Out near Wighill Manor Lodges

Jorvik Viking Centre - about 8 Miles
Jorvik Viking Centre is a fun and educational attraction offering visitors the chance to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Thanks to the Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust the amazing houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik are on display and give a clear insight to the way of life all those years ago.  The site aims to offer an interactive experience with the state of the art time capsule and the blacksmith's furnace being the top attractions.
Jorvik DIG - about 8 Miles
Dig is a unique and somewhat educational attraction in York offering children the opportunity to enjoy excavation, discovery, and digging. Within the site is a discovery centre, several pits filled with Roman and Medieval ruins and a science lab where children can take part in exciting experiments. Staff are on hand at all times to help the children and to ensure they get the most from the experience. The attraction can get busy during school holidays and pre booking is recommended.
A day trip to Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens is the perfect way to relax with several gardens to explore in the grounds of a historic farmhouse. The gardens were established 30 years ago and each has something different to offer. Expect to find dramatic displays of foliage and flowers as well as beautifully landscaped areas. Families will enjoy the woodland which leads to a wildlife pond and a beautiful wildflower meadow. The site runs morning courses in gardening throughout the summer which are priced at just £12 and include coffee. There is also a nursery onsite where plants can be purchased. Entry to the gardens cost just £4 for adults and 50p for children.
Web Adventure Park - about 9 Miles
Come rain or shine children need to be entertained and Creepy Crawlies just north of York is the perfect place! This all weather attraction caters for toddlers and children up to 12 years old with a huge array of climbing equipment, ball pools, slides, chutes and adventure areas. Adults can relax and enjoy a coffee and a snack while the kids are having fun.  The site also has a large and rather impressive outdoor area with pet zone and pedal track with Go karts. There is also a pond with fish and a sensory zone where children can touch and feel new and interesting things.
