For those looking for pure relaxation in quality accommodation then Ardgartan Argyll Lodges could be just the ticket.  These lovely lodges enjoy a spectacular location surrounded by mountains in Argyll Forest Park.  You also have the added benefit of being situated on the shores of Loch Long.  As far as settings go they don't get much better than this.

You can really holiday at your own pace here and the self catering lodges give you all the freedom you could want to plan your days.  Just some of the outdoor activities on the doorstep include canoeing, fishing, mountain bike hire, nature trails and even ranger led walks if you want to learn about the area in more detail and find walks you might otherwise have missed.

After a day exploring you can return to your lodge with private hot tub to relax and unwind.  The Silver Birch 2 is a great value lodge sleeping up to 4 with a double bedroom, en suite shower and twin room as well as a family bathroom.  This stylish lodge also comes with a private outdoor hot tub.  Other great options include the Silver Birch 3 which is slightly larger sleeping 6 and the Golden Oak lodges which offer a luxurious base for your stay.

Beautiful location for a reboot from reality, tranquil setting with the Argyll coast close by. Well maintained pretty site, lovely cabins & additional touches from the Forest Retreat like delivery of hot food & fresh baked goods to your cabin. Top marks.

We loved the lodge, and found it very well equipped. It was really nice to have lots of spare crockery and cutlery, not just the absolute per person minimum as in lots of self catering venues. The beds were also extremely confortable - often not the case in self catering.

Beautiful place to relax and unwind, the hot tub is a must and great to relax in after a day out. Lots to do for the active person and great for dog lovers as dogs are made welcome with lots of doggie treats in the on site shop.
Caroline
We had a lovely few days at argyll lodges. The location is fairly remote (as you'd expect), and the peace and quiet were just what we needed. The staff were extremely welcoming, and there were basic provisions and meals available to buy.
Robert
We were welcomed in and things were explained very well and what activities were going on during the week and also a brief description on what the weather was going to be like. Lovely lodges also.
Georgina
great break been before at different site love it
Peter
We had a brilliant holiday which was much needed. Our only disappointment was the fact that there was no DVD player and the cost you charged for both wifi and the movies
Margo

Fun Days Out near Argyll Lodges

Inveraray Jail - about 11 Miles

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.
