The only thing we did find every morning we woke up with back ache from the bed. And my husband hit his head on the wall getting out of bed.

Nice and quite. Shops not too far away. A short walk to the beach and some cafe and a nice restaurant on the seafront.

Clean quiet site (although during our stay many cottages near us were being emptied of furniture and equipment which rather disturbed the peace!); delightful indoor pool (however the tiles around it were green in places and needed a good clean); enjoyed the tennis court too (racquets and balls provided at Reception). Really appreciated having a board provided to block off the back garden; this meant our dogs could come outside with us when we were relaxing in the hot tub.

We love staying at colwell bay , and its easy to get all round the island to see lots more places
Jan
A really lovely holiday. Facilities were good, accommodation clean, and the staff were helpful. Easy walk to the beach. Unfortunately renovation on the bungalows had started and the eager builders worked from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a couple of skips outside our kitchen window. I guess it will be a 10/10 venue next year.
Ian
quiet relaxing time. easy access to many places
Craig
This was our second stay at colwell bay and it didn't disappoint. Perfect accommodation if you've got kids and the hot tub was perfect for unwinding in the evenings once the kids were in bed. I would always recommend Colwell Bay to anyone visit the Isle of Wight
John
Nice remote location. Hot tub in the back garden and a ‘welcome’ pack was all very good.
Donald
very clean ,worth every penny.

Fort Victoria - about 1 Mile
Fort Victoria is many attractions in one convenient location. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.
Play & Farm Park - about 8 Miles
Described as the Isle of Wight's multi activity and play Farm park this attraction will really appeal to families looking for a fun day out.  Recently improvements have been made to enlarge the straw fun play barn and this is now the biggest indoor play space on the island.  This farm is now split into separate attractions, the play barns and petting farm which include rides on tractors and trailors and the tractor driving experience. Open all year this place is also excellent value for money.
This is an award winning attraction on the isle of wight with so much to see and do.  From thrilling rides for the whole family to challenging play for younger kids they have thought of everything.  One of the highlights is the Falconry where you can see some of the most breathtaking displays in the UK.  You can also get a taste of nature and history here from red squirrels to romans.  The great value freedon tickets are well worth the money allowing you to return to the park as often as you like for 7 days.
Robin Hill Adventure Park and Gardens is an award willing attraction offering an amazing experience which includes thrilling rides, exciting shows and animal experiences. The park also offers excellent value as one ticked gets visitors in to 2 parks and you can come back as many times as you wish within 7 days. Rides include the family friendly Toboggan Run and Colossus Swinging Galleon but one of the parks most popular attractions is the Falconry where visitors can enjoy some of the finest flying displays in the UK. The park also has a fantastic nature area where Red squirrel safaris are just one of the attractions.
