As the days were short it was important that we could have privacy when we needed it and also the opportunity to share the kitchen and living room without the inconvenience of a hotel regime. Essentials provided and everything we needed.
Booked after a recommendation and will certainly book again..

Very nice place clean tidy. My only issue is all though its dog friendly there is no real gate to secure the 4 legged friend. How ever there is a pallet and pease of ply wood to keep them in but its farfrom ideal if its windy.

Builders were a bit noisy at 7:45 on Sunday morning and their radio was so loud that it sounded like someone was having a party.

The only thing we did find every morning we woke up with back ache from the bed. And my husband hit his head on the wall getting out of bed.

We had a lovely stay at Colwell bay. Accommodation was clean and tidy and had everything we needed and the hot tub was great! Lovely walks near by and we found a nice local pub (red lion) where we liked to have lunch. The only criticism I would have was the swimming pool - the building it’s in at the moment is quite wet inside to keep the temperature of the water nice. It was fine once we were in but not great to get changed to get in and out - although I think this is being updated. If this was done I would have rated the facilities a 10.

We had a great stay, good location for getting to a beach and walking to the Needles
Rebecca
amazing holiday park! facilities where brilliant and a lot more then expected! Cottage homes are stunning! beach with only a walk away and shops a 5 minute walk was all a massive bonus! will defo be booking again hopefully for next year!

We recently returned from a 2 night break with our 2 children at Colwell Bay. On arrival, reception staff were friendly and helpful, and we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the accommodation and it’s facilities. There was everything needed for a self catering holiday and the addition of a welcome pack in the accommodation was great. There is access to the road leading to the beach which is only a short walk away and although this side of the island appeared quieter, we were still within easy reach of attractions such as The Needles and Blackgang Chine. We did not use the swimming pool as we were not there long enough so cannot comment on that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and are hoping to return for a longer break next year.

My friend and I were very impressed with the accommodation and the helpfulness of the staff at Colwell Bay. Our stay was in November and ideal for visiting National Trust And English Heritage locations on the island. The location was private with good parking.

Fort Victoria - about 1 Mile
Fort Victoria is many attractions in one convenient location. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.
Play & Farm Park - about 8 Miles
Described as the Isle of Wight's multi activity and play Farm park this attraction will really appeal to families looking for a fun day out.  Recently improvements have been made to enlarge the straw fun play barn and this is now the biggest indoor play space on the island.  This farm is now split into separate attractions, the play barns and petting farm which include rides on tractors and trailors and the tractor driving experience. Open all year this place is also excellent value for money.
This is an award winning attraction on the isle of wight with so much to see and do.  From thrilling rides for the whole family to challenging play for younger kids they have thought of everything.  One of the highlights is the Falconry where you can see some of the most breathtaking displays in the UK.  You can also get a taste of nature and history here from red squirrels to romans.  The great value freedon tickets are well worth the money allowing you to return to the park as often as you like for 7 days.
Robin Hill Adventure Park and Gardens is an award willing attraction offering an amazing experience which includes thrilling rides, exciting shows and animal experiences. The park also offers excellent value as one ticked gets visitors in to 2 parks and you can come back as many times as you wish within 7 days. Rides include the family friendly Toboggan Run and Colossus Swinging Galleon but one of the parks most popular attractions is the Falconry where visitors can enjoy some of the finest flying displays in the UK. The park also has a fantastic nature area where Red squirrel safaris are just one of the attractions.
