My wife and I used the park as a base for our annual trip to the cheltenham race festival. Close enough to be only a 30-45 min drive and far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle afterwards.
Lovely lodge in a peaceful setting. Loved it so roll on March 2019 !

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Ford Farm for valentinesday in one of the Spa lodges, it is one of the best holiday/breaks that we have ever been on. The lodge its self was very very clean, it had everything that you needed from cooking equipment to bathroom products. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location is perfect. I would HIGHLY reccomend staying here, we will most defiantly be coming back in the future.

Great location for Gloucester Quays and Forest of Dean. Peaceful setting. Friendly welcome (Malcolm). Staff always onsite to help. Lodge was spotless and well equipped with everything you would need, home from home. Used hot tub and sauna morning and evening and even kit the cosy log burner. Fabulous stay would definitely recommend and return. Great winter break.
Richard
Very quiet location. Very good quality accommodation and friendly owners. Probably everything you want is in the lodge, but in ours, there was no hairdryer, and if we'd have known, we would have taken our own.
Jan
A lovely peaceful setting and lodge finished to a high standard with quality fixtures and fittings
Nicola
Beautiful lodge, gorgeous tranquil setting. Local pubs within walking distance, local bus to nearby towns a short walk away.
Paul
Would highly recommend, but towels supplied would be really useful.

A massive “thumbs up” for Ford Farm Lodge. After getting stuck in the snow Malcom/ Martin and Sharon ({I think) gave us the push needed to get to site - massive thank you. Only the bad weather hindered our plans. We will definitely be back later in the year. Thank you again.
Matthew

Fun Days Out near Ford Farm Lodges

Puzzlewood - about 12 Miles
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.
Queenswood Country Park - about 19 Miles
Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
