Very relaxing and peaceful midweek stay. The lodge was very well equipped and comfortable very much exceeding our expectations.
Would definitely recommend to family and friends and would look forward to revisiting ourselves should the opportunity arise.
A very minor point to make regarding the provision of robes for use around the hot tub, this was not mentioned during booking and as we were advised to bring our own towels we were very surprised to find robes provided. In our experience it would have been helpful if the provision of robes was indicated in the lodge description, this may prove helpful for future occupants.

Date of stay: 28th April 2017
Accommodation type: Kilcot Lodge
a prime location for walks and visiting places. Very clean, excellent standard cabins with a lovely homely feel. Bonus that our little dog could also come! Would definitely recommend.
See above just brilliant.
Superb! Peaceful, bright, clean, warm, fresh, good quality -what more do you need?! I cannot fault anything at all, we had a lovely break and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna very much. The 'extras' such as bath robes and luxury toiletries made all the difference but there wasn't a hair dryer which would have been nice. I would highly recommend a holiday in this exceptional lodge.

Lovely place to stay will certainly book again.
Great holiday the cabin was lovely and the people at the site were very nice and helpful. Would definitely go back to stay.
A very nice welcome by Malcolm who gave us tips on pubs in the vicinity. Lovely area where lodges are located, peaceful but not too far from amenities. Look forward to coming back.
Excellent location and site, Lodge was excellent
A great place to relax and spend time with family. Only a short drive from The Forest of Dean to enjoy lots of walks.
This is our 6th return visit to Ford Farm Lodge. Malcolm and Martyn are the best of hosts, the views beautiful and the countryside totally relaxing. Highly recommended for any short break from a weekend to a full week.
A perfect location and a perfect Lodge. Three we've tried and this one is the best so far.
Second time me and my partner have been here. Absolutely brilliant. And the staff (Malcom) he's great! We'll be hopefully coming back in December!
Brilliant weekend. Will 100% be returning. Lodges were immaculate, staff were lovely.
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.
Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
