We were greeted by one of the owners and shown to our lodge, he showed us around explained how things worked. He recommended a couple of local pubs to try and some local walks. The Lodge caters for all needs and supplies a bbq . The grounds are very well kept and very picturesque . We would have no hesitation in recommending Ford Farm Lodges as a place to stay. If you want somewhere with bars and loud music this is definitely not the place for you. We'll be back.

We had a lovely & relaxing week in the Kilcot Elite Spa lodge. The lodge has everything you need for your stay you only need to bring towels & food . Bath robes are provided for use with the hot tub which was fabulous to relax in after long days out exploring the beautiful area. The Sauna was also a lovely bonus as we're the luxury toiletries.
There were fresh flowers & a welcome basket of tea & coffee for our arrival which was a lovely touch. The site is well run by Malcolm & Martin who are on hand for any issues that may arise but we had none as everything was perfect. We would definitely visit again & have recommended to family & friends.

We stayed at ford farm for a week and had the best time. Apart from a couple of needed upgrades in the appliances, the accommodation was fantastic. Location is brilliant, Newent is just a 5 min drive, Gloucester is about 20-30 mins and Forest of Dean is about 20-30min in the other direction. Ideal place to stay. The owners are very welcoming and approachable.

We had a lovely time staying at the lodge, the only downside was that we were unable to take our Belgium shepherd even though she is a loving friendly dog. The actual lodge and surrounding area is beautiful and cant be faulted we would visit again.
Stephanie
Overall excellent, great country views, private and an easy to find quiet location.
Mollie
Wonderful and peaceful location, with beautiful scenery. Malcolm was the only member of staff we saw, but was very helpful and welcoming. Facilities were good, with fully equipped kitchen, only thing not supplied (other than the food) were towels. Robes for the jacuzzi were a nice touch!
Tracey
Excellent everything about it was perfect , quiet location , impeccable clean room , will definatley be visiting again

Fun Days Out near Ford Farm Lodges

Puzzlewood - about 12 Miles
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.
Queenswood Country Park - about 19 Miles
Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
