Relaxing. Fun. Great to visit surrounding areas.

The lodge was larger and more comfortable than I had expected. The kitchen area had everything we needed and the appliances were all good quality and spotless. The beds were comfortable and furnishings attractive.
The only reason the for the 9 mark refers to the sofa which was less comfortable.
Overall good value on a nice quiet site in a good location.

A very comfortable lodge with all that was needed for a very enjoyable stay.
Very relaxing and peaceful midweek stay. The lodge was very well equipped and comfortable very much exceeding our expectations.
Would definitely recommend to family and friends and would look forward to revisiting ourselves should the opportunity arise.
A very minor point to make regarding the provision of robes for use around the hot tub, this was not mentioned during booking and as we were advised to bring our own towels we were very surprised to find robes provided. In our experience it would have been helpful if the provision of robes was indicated in the lodge description, this may prove helpful for future occupants.

Very clean and comfortable lodge to stay in.
Lovely cabin great beds so comfy, we loved the place.
On this occasion we were blessed with extraordinarily good weather. Our Ford Farm Lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. We were able to sit out in the evenings quite a lot, the exterior table and chairs being provided. Ford Farm is situated in a quiet lane, the only intrusion coming from the many types of bird resident which we always enjoy watching. From buzzards and Kites circling overhead to the blackbirds, thrushes, blue, long tailed, great and coal tits, nuthatch, robins all resident on the park. Get up early and see a woodpecker digging for ants on the putting green or a jay squabbling with a squirrel over some bounty!
Absolutely loved our Tripp the owners were extremely welcoming to my my mum and I ( and our dog). We instantly felt at home.
Just love the setting the staff and everything
A lovely few days away. We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub which was cleaned and maintained daily.
The only thing that could have been better was the water for baths and showers wasn't quite hot enough, but we managed easily enough.
Food recommendations were perfect and the Alma Inn is a must!
Spent the weekend their with my wife and daughter. My wife and I have been coming here for over 20 years. The lodges are lovely and very well kept. Martyn and Malcolm the owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Brilliant. Beautiful surroundings, well looked after...
We have been going for years now. We had a fantastic time once again. Malcolm and Martyn could not be more welcoming. They keep the standards of their lodges very high.
Cabin was larger than we expected, very comfortable and clean and the site was well maintained, the water came from a natural spring and filtered was delicious to drink.
Very nice there very little noise
The lodge was clean and welcoming with almost everything we neede. The only thing missing was an iron and ironing board. Martin was very friendly and helpful. The area was very quit and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. Easy access to Hereford and other larger places. Newent was a delightful town and the local people were very friendly. Ideal setting if you are looking for peace and quiet and relaxation.
Would definitely book again.
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.
Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds. The deer park is also a big hit with children as well as grown ups. The onsite tea room serves tasty sandwiches and cakes and uses local produce where possible.
