The peaceful site offers guests the chance to totally unwind while those seeking action and adventure can also find plenty of outdoor pursuits to enjoy.

The lodges are tucked away deep in the heart of this stunning forest, which is also home to an abundance of flora and fauna and many species of wildlife.  Just a short drive away is the thriving market town of Pickering and slightly further afield the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby have much to offer.

The stunning lodges at Keldy Forest are superbly located for enjoying the most beautiful scenery that the region has to offer. Cabin lovely apart from a few door handles falling off which meant on 3 occasions we were locked in the en suite

This is a great base to visit lovely places in north Yorkshire. The Golden oak lodge was very clean and cosy. We stayed in lodge 11 which was a great location. Could of had a few more activities for smaller children. Shop is a little expensive and check in was short and sweet. You can pay to use Wi-Fi throught your stay if you wish which in my opinion should be free. We would return.

Amazing. Excellent dog walking on the door step. A break for us and more importantly a lovely time for our precious dog
Pat
Excellent cabin and hot tub . Well set out and good for walking .
Shirley
Lovely although cabins are quite close together. A few maintenance issues within the cabin. No manuals to help work electrical items. Etc. But all in all a lovely place. Riffle shooting is a must, great fun.
Hayley
Great place a lovely cozy lodge clean and well equipped will definitely return
Rosie
We loved our holiday in Keldy and would definitely recommend to others. We did think the entertainment package was rather pricey after the money we had to paid to stay there but other than that we had a great time.
Gail
I really like it there it would be better if you had a bigger freezer in the cabins
Lisa
Place was lovely - feel that staff need more training and an actual manger that manages the place

I loved Keldy Forest and the accomodation we stayed it. However on the first morning of our stay we wanted to hire so bikes.. We walked to the shop to find the door locked and a sign up saying we needed to go to the restaurant. So we did but the lady in there wasnt listening and obviously had not been informed that shop was closed. I repeated what the sign said but again she told me i needed to go to the shop. It didnt spoil the week however put us off.. On the first night we sat at the bar and there was no sign of staff for at least 10 minutes and then when someone did turn up she served a lady who had literally just gotten up from her table to place an order. I also feel staff knowledge of the forest would be an advantage as id asked about the red route and cycle route and the lady pointed me to the map which i had to purchase which was no use as it had no bearings. Overall fantastic week if you dont want any interaction with staff.

An amazing park set in beautiful forest surroundings. The staff were very helpful and the silver birch lodge we stayed in was set in a great position. It’s a real break from the hustle and bustle. We would definitely stay again.

Fun Days Out near Keldy

Flamingo Land - about 7 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Castle Howard - about 14 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
Yorkshire Lavender - about 14 Miles
Yorkshire Lavender is an amazing award winning attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of York, a Café, Plant Nursery and Lavender Gardens. The 60 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent choice for a day trip. The onsite shops sells Lavender products such as bath and body treats, skincare, medicine and herbal remedies.
