Close to bustling market towns, pretty villages and the stunning Yorkshire Moors, Jamies Cragg Holiday Park is a superb location for a secluded, relaxing break. It's a few minutes' walk from the River Derwent, 20 minutes drive from York, and there's a beautiful woodland walk just behind the park. There are also some really good local pubs within easy reach.

There are a number of really lovely picnic spots around the park - and plenty of river and lake fishing. The village of Welburn has loads of interesting shops, pubs and a delightful Artisan bakery. Castle Howard is just a few miles away and there's lots to do in York, including a visit to Sutton Park and York Minster, England's largest Gothic church.

These contemporary lodges have outdoor hot tubs and are well designed and spacious. Limestone Lodge sleeps four - it has one double bedroom with ensuite, a twin room, shower room and a light and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Patio doors lead to a verandah with a private hot tub and garden furniture.

Plan some great days out in North Yorkshire. York Dungeons certainly aren't for the faint-hearted, set in dark, musty cellars with life size tableaux of deaths and persecutions!

Our Top Tip
"Enjoy an entertaining trip to Flamingo Land at Malton - it's a theme park with loads of thrilling rides, but also houses a zoo that supports the conservation of wild flamingo populations."

Overall great though

The lodge was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It was surrounded by trees with a great hot tub and outdoor eating area. It is also in a good place for visiting the surrounding area. The only downside for us was the traffic noise. The lodge is situated 50 yards from the busy A64 so there is no escaping the traffic noise which is almost constant. We book lodges hopefully to have some peace and tranquillity and sadly this was not the case. So purely for this reason we wouldn't return.

There was a tv in every bedroom and the front room, there was also a DVD player in the living room.
The two twin bedrooms are lovely and the beds can be pushed together to make a double, the main bathroom was very spacious and had a bath and shower. The main bedroom was lovely with an en-suite bathroom and heated towel rail.
The beds are very comfy and at the start of your stay there was fresh towels on each bed and clean bedding. These were not changed throughout our stay but it really didn't bother us. And if you wanted clean towels there is a washing machine outside.
Overall I can't really complain about anything other than the wine cooler being broken and the oven being gas which I wasn't used to, however these aren't major things and wouldn't put me off going back here.
There is also a lovely working electric fire in the front room and central heating.

Lovely lodge every thing you need
Nicola
Beautiful lodge - extremely comfortable, very well maintained, spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen ..... like a home from home !! Staff on site were first class - extremely helpful but not intrusive The only (very) small concern was some road noise from the A64. This, however did not impact the overall enjoyment of the holiday which was very good

Enjoyed the break away. Lovely lodge only thing is the hot tub was dirty and needed new chlorine by Sunday morning so smelt of stail water. Lodge is lovely though just needs that extra care with the hot tubs. I wouldn't of noticed but we've been too other lodges before that get cleaned everyday so for the hot tub to be not cleaned at all during our stay made a big difference too our opinion.
Robert
Log cabin very clean on arrival it had everything you needed in it. Hot tub was very nice overall had an excellent Stay would definitely go back.
Mark
Great location but on busy road
Hannah
The lodge was very nice and looks exactly like the pictures. It had extras which weren't listed in the description like an iron and ironing board, washing machine and mop etc. It is right next to the road (A64) however the noise didn't bother us it wasn't too loud and there was practically no noise at all at night which was good. I would stay here again, it's really good value for money and a lively place to stay. We were 25 minutes away from York city centre which I highly recommend as it is gorgeous with plenty of things to do. Scarborough is about 45 minutes away but still very nice. Local supermarkets are in malton and about 10/15 minutes away so very handy.
Karen
Beautiful setting for our first family holiday with new baby. There is a cute little park to the side of the lodges with swings/slides etc which our 9 year old loved to play on. Although we were situated just to the side of the A64 the traffic noise was barely noticeable.
Isabelle
Perfect, very clean. Lovely site :)
