Carnaby Heritage Park Reviews

On first impressions the site was not what we expected, looked like a small housing estate rather than holiday cottages but we soon got into the holiday spirit when we tried the hot tub. The cotage was a good size with 2 decent bedrooms. The location was great too, the whole of yorkshire easy to get to.

Lovely cottage in a quiet area. The only downside is the peacocks which roam around and make a lot of noise in the early hours!

When we arrived at the bungalows we had a warm welcome from Jane who gave us our keys, showed us the location of our bungalow. When we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised. The property was lovely inside, well maintained and very clean. It had everything you need, including outside seating which was very much appreciated as it was extremely warm!

Excellent weekend
nice and clean. lovely and quiet.
Lovely bungalow such a lovely relaxing week
Stayed in carnaby pet cottage number 7 for 1 week September 2017 - great cottage/home with everything you could possibly need. It rained a lot but had central heating and washing machine so could wash and dry clothes easily. Number 7 pet cottage has fully enclosed small garden so we could let our dog out knowing she could not escape as there is lots of wildlife like peacocks roaming free. The cafe in the next door caravan park served a great breakfast if you don't want to cook. The manager was extremely helpful. Slightly strange set up as these homes are set among privately owned homes and 2 storey blocks of flats but this was never a problem as very quiet area and the flats looked very well kept and very quiet. Apart from the weather, a lovely stay.
Nice quiet site. Lovely bungalow with everything you need.
enjoyed walking in surrounding areas nice and quite
Stayed here 3 times now. Will continue to go to stay at the place
Absolutely loved our stay and ready to book again next year
Cottage could of done with an deep clean as skirtings and ceilings covered in dust/cobwebs but other than that had a fab weekend already looking to book back up next year
Really enjoyed the peace.

Fun Days Out near Bridlington Holiday Cottages

Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Peasholm Park - about 17 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - about 18 Miles
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
