Woodside Lodges Country Park Reviews

"I think I covered it in the previous box! Very spacious! Huge decked and roofed patio, perfect for breakfast and wildlife watching, secure too for dogs. and a lower and also spacious tiled terraced beyond it, perfect for enjoying a sunny afternoon or evening. Very well fitted throughout, including external hose by front door for muddy paws, and a very convenient utility room. Underfloor heating and a very good log burner. Spacious hallway, more than enough hooks for coats and bags, third bedroom upstairs with nice landing, all feels airy and lots of light, yet cosy. large kitchen, every appliance worked well and was perfect for the 5 of us to use. comfy beds (all adult size, which is a huge plus for us and a nice change from other types of holiday parks in general), well equipped throughout. The location overlooking lawns and copses, is idyllic and very relaxing."
Stephanie - Oct 2024
"As always another relaxing break here..Lodge is well equipped, very clean and staff helpful. This year there was some minor issues but one of the owners Helen was quick to try and rectify. And she assured us these would be sorted before our next visit..Really look forward to this holiday with our dogs each year now as we know it's going to be great staying here and venturing out to the local dog friendly pubs..Highly recommend a stay here there's lots of accommodation on offer as well as camp pitches great scenery and not too far from local shops..I would like to see a different food truck on site though next year, pizza wasn't great for the price."

"Excellent stay at Woodside. We've booked to come back for New Year 2021. Absolutely love the place and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and extremely welcoming. Sainsbury's deliver as well. Bonus!"
Louise - Aug 2020
"Very spacious lodge. Nice large covered veranda. Large outside lockable cupboard that can be used to store fishing gear."
Ian - Aug 2020
"Great holiday destination!"
Amanda - Aug 2020
"My scores would be 10 out of 10 but for one thing. Guests have to leave the lodge early to ensure extra cleaning which was fine. We were I instructed to open the windows prior to leaving. Here in lies the problem...... Flies! We arrived and the flies in the kitchen were too much. The park really needs to try and address this and at least have fly spray and fly catchers available in the lodge. This is the one reason I would not return in the summer and it is such a shame because the lodge and park otherwise are amazing. Winter will probably be OK but I could not stand the amount of flies we had to contend with in July."
Emma - Jul 2020
"Left a review on trip advisor but to confirm Woodside lodges have been fantastic in putting the government guidelines in place to make our holiday as safe as possible! standards are impeccable just a place of beauty run by people who really care!"

Paul - Mar 2020
"Lodge clean , beautifully presented in lovely surroundings . The fire/wood burner and sauna made great additions to the experience .
We were a group of 6 ranging in age from 23 - 52 and it suited us all ... would definitely book again."
Vikki - Mar 2020
"fantastic i am booking again for next year"
Mark - Mar 2020
"Just completely enjoyable from start to finish - no negative points at all. We were warm and comfortable when back in the lodge and made full use of the kitchen facilities as well as the log burner. Another time we might find the chance to enjoy the sauna but not this time. We took along a large dog and there was plenty of room for us all to move around.
The dishwasher was a bonus that we don't usually get to enjoy whilst on holiday so we were able to eat, load it up and break out the board games. No need for pot washing rotas."
Kay - Feb 2020
"Comfortable and warm. Good equipment. Some small basics like additional toilet rolls and salt would have been appreciated. However. Tesco is not far away."

"My partner and I took our 6 month old puppy to one of the log cabins at Woodside Lodges. We had the best week! The cabin was perfect, the campsite was so beautiful with lots of nice walks to take the puppy on. There is a lake which we took him swimming for the first time. We travelled into the Cotswolds each day which was only 45-50 minutes away to some gorgeous little towns. We’re already looking forward to going back. I would highly recommend staying at Woodside Lodges. Thank you for a memorable week"
Katy - Jul 2022
