The Springs Resort & Golf Club Reviews

"Amazing holiday, everything was just perfect. The cabin couldve been a little cleaner but apart from that I could not fault anything."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Excellent standard of lodges. Well equipped and warm. Big deck area with table and chairs. Huge comfy beds with lovely shower facilities ensuite.."
Wendy - Apr 2024
"As I said previously the utensils in the kitchen need to be a better quality & a more up to date tv for people to log in to their own Prime, Netflix account. Also sofas could be more comfortable"
Sharon - Apr 2024
"Excellent. Can't wait to return."
Gilly - Mar 2024
"Lovely lodge with enclosed garden area. Hot tub was included. Nice comfortable bed and everything you need to enjoy your stay."
Susan - Mar 2024
"The Lodge was spotless, well equipped and warm (we were there mid March). We found the staff polite and helpful. The hot tub was a nice touch and enjoyable after a full day sight seeing. We will return."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Our lodge had lots of outdoor space and overlooked the beautiful pond. The interior was well decorated and equipped and very modern. The hot tub was just what we needed and lovely to relax in and our bed and pillows were sooooo comfortable.
However, we felt our lodge could have done with a slightly deeper clean as we found a random T-Shirt on top of the fridge which was very dusty when we took it down and one of our toilet bowls was a bit dirty."
Elaine - Jan 1970
"The lodge has everything youd need for a few days break and has a real luxury feel. We stayed over xmas and we knew facilities outside of the lodge/resort would be closed at certain times, but we didnt want for anything during those times as the lodge has all youd need"
Sarah - Jan 1970
"Wonderful experience, highly recommended "
Raazia - Jan 1970
"Beautiful lodge - had everything you needed and more. Lovely outlook from the balcony. Comfortable beds and it was nice to see tea/coffee/sugar/milk supplied, plus toiletries in the bathroom. It would've been nice if there had been hot tub towels - so remember to bring some with you if there are 4 of you in a lodge.

The only downside that we could see was there was rubbish left in a cupboard with moldy rolls and crisps with loads of empty carrier bags and a crisp packet down the side of one of the beds!! So the cleaner in my eyes didn't clean well enough! Plus the bathroom floor had fluff and hair on the floor and also under the radiator in the hall! Apart from those few faults, it was perfect."
Josie - Jan 1970
"Absolutely loved the lodge, it was gorgeous and perfect for our girly weekend away. We used the hot tub almost all day every day. Its cosy and the view of the mill pond is gorgeous to wake up to. I would highly y recommend the resort. We travelled to nearby towns and villages to have a look around. There are also some stunning walks and lots of birds/wildlife, we even went to the donkey sanctuary 5 minutes away.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, they provided up with information about the surroundings and places to eat/drink and enjoy. Im very pleased with my experience, thank you!"
Jade - Jan 1970
"Great accommodation, bar and restaurant great, staff super friendly and very helpful. I would return"
Paul - Jan 1970
"Everything was clean and tidy, a little more attention to detail needed in some areas - our shower head had limescale build up, which mean our rainfall shower didn't work, disappointing as I love these!
Also a few flickering lights which we turned off but nothing major"
Jessica - Jan 1970
"Staff, lodges and surroundings lovely"
Chris - Jan 1970
"The Mill pond lodges are one of the best we have stayed in. Lovely view, Everything you need and a lovely spa. definitely recommend"
Samantha - Jan 1970
"Great location & very relaxing place to stay"
John - Jul 2022
"Very good resort, high quality accomodation, great facilities and really good value for money."
Kevin - Jul 2022
"Almost perfect. Lovely new lodge, really well equipped. Two bedrooms with en-suite shower, would’ve like a bath. Plenty of wardrobe space. Open plan bright spacious but.. large decking surrounded by trees that blocked sunlight all day. Gorgeous site quiet location shame about the trees."
Joanne - Jun 2022
"Amazing place, with great views and surroundings, friendly staff and having the use of the bar and restaurant is a great addition, would highly recommend, lodges are well fitted and the hot tub was superb"
Steve - Jun 2022

"The Hawthorn Lodge was well equipped and spacious. All of the Springs Resort staff were welcoming and very friendly. We dined twice in the restaurant over the weekend, the food and service was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to return."
Liz - May 2022
"Lodge location was absolutely fantastic over looking the lake . Hot tub was a real treat for us . Very clean and checked twice a day . Lodge hill was clean and well equipped for kitchen utensils, we cooked every day . On-site restaurant has limited opening times . By the golf club is The Ridge public footpath , about 50 minutes into Wallingford , but worth the stroll . Wallingford was a very enjoyable village . Museum very interesting if you have no idea of area. Helpful staff . Wallingford Tearooms definitely worth a visit . Will definitely return to these lodges and Wallingford."
Philip - May 2022
"The Resort is quite new and all the grounds have yet to mature, with develpment still taking place on further lodges & cabins, which in no way effected our stay, and the Club house was quite handy for good food & drink with helpful staff, also Resort is in good location for touring the Chilterns. Some small bits will get sorted (like recycling etc.) as the site progresses like the Darwin site we have used in Derbyshire."
Stephen - May 2022
"Outstanding resort, with knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. Would highly recommend."
Lisa - May 2022
"Absolutely brilliant stay. Lodge was brand new and super clean. The surroundings were beautiful, our balcony overlooked the water with swans and lots of bird life. Lots of red kites to watch! The hot tub was checked twice daily and really clean. Staff were brilliant and so friendly. Treatments at the spa were superb and the golf course was great! Kitchen was well equipped, coffee machine as well. Walking footpaths nearby, and the village of Wallingford very pretty. Cannot say a bad word about our stay, we had a brilliant time. We will definitely be back."

Attractions Near The Springs Resort & Golf Club

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to The Springs Resort & Golf Club. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Pendon Indoor Model Village and Railways - OX12 8EA
about 6 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA
about 20 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 26 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park - SN4 9QT
about 31 Miles
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park is a fantastic attraction based in Swindon, Wiltshire.  For nature lovers and those who like to get out and explore this is the perfect day out.  It's also an all weather attraction with Butterfly World being part of the site.  Butterfly World is kept at around 85 degrees year round so this makes a perfect place to visit in all seasons. A visit to the Craft Village is also recommended where there are a wide range of handcrafted gifts.
RHS Garden Wisley - GU23 6QB
about 32 Miles
RHS Garden Wisley is an excellent choice for a day trip, offering excellent value for money all year round. A yearly membership is available so visitors can take advantage of the parks attractions as often as they wish. On entry to the park visitors can pick up a family trail which offers suggestions of places within the grounds to visit and explains all the fun things to do in the garden. There are many areas to explore including the beautiful Rose Garden, the amazing Glasshouse and the Café which served home made locally sourced food.
Chessington World of Adventures - KT9 2NE
about 37 Miles
Chessington World of Adventures has a well deserved reputation and one of the best theme parks in the UK the site is crammed with rides for adrenaline junkies including Vampire rollercoaster which fly's through Transylvania and the Tomb Blaster which is not for the faint hearted the site also boasts a fantastic Sea Life Centre and a range of attractions for younger children including daily shows and talks.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 38 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
