With an enviable location in the midst of the Waveney Valley these stylish lodges will appeal to both families and couples searching for a peaceful holiday base in the Norfolk area.  You will have the best of both worlds with a rural location and yet within easy reach of the city of Norwich with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Norfolk Broads are also ideal for days out and exploring.

The Kingfisher Lodge is brand new for 2011 and we think makes a stylish holiday choice.  The decor is of a very high standard and there are plenty of mod cons to make your stay a real home from home.  From a top of the range flatscreen tv with freeview to a well equipped kitchen everything has been designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.

Sleeping up to 6 adults the Kingfisher Lodge is spacious and well laid out with one double and one twin bedroom.  Both rooms enjoy a private ensuite bathroom.  There is additional sleeping for two in the lounge area.  Outside the lodge the luxury continues with decking, garden furniture and a private outdoor hot tub.  We think this lodge makes a perfect holiday choice all year round thanks to the central heating and double glazing.

Close by there are some great days out including Banham Zoo less than 6 miles from the lodges and Melsop Farm Park just 15 miles away.  Both of these attractions are ideal for families with children but will also appeal to couples.

This was a holiday planned for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. A beautifully peaceful location in the countryside but just 5 minutes drive into town. Accomodation was very clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped with everything we needed.
Paul andJill were great, offering us a very warm welcome on arrival and always on hand with advice on places to visit etc. We cannot wait to go back there.

Fantastic place, the fact it didn't have any WIFI made this holiday all the better, as it made us spend time as a family and reconnect! We played football, flew kites, visited some lovely places nearby. The owners were lovely and we bought some of their produce. On arrive there was milk in the fridge for us, coffee, tea & sugar - the little things that make a huge difference. We will be back, we all fell in love with the place and the area.

Wonderful lodge, lovely location and lovely people. The option to purchase meat and hire bbq's was a great idea too!
Lovely place to stay, the owners are fantastic and the lodge and hot tub are in such a good quiet location. The Children loved the cows and duck
Excellent lodge and owners are brilliant hosts. Children loved the space on the farm and the hot tub was well used.
Good value for money and a lovely place to stay
Lovely place little bit too dark at night as there wasn't any lighting outside apart from a door light. Surrounding we're great However some plates in the cupboards were dirty. Overall though a beautiful place!
Had great weekend despite having to leave Sunday afternoon. Due to husband having rotten cold. Only one criticism hot tub in full view of other lodges. Super hot tub. Lovely size and well maintained.
Had a beautiful relaxing break, the lodge was very clean, spacious and in beautiful farm land with the bonus of getting fresh eggs, juice from the farm. Loved every minute
Great time great place Jill and Paul are the best and we are going back in October
We had an absolutely lovely week away in Kingfisher lodge. We have two small children and the lodge was fairly child friendly, good quality high chair and cot. We found the mattresses lovely and comfortable (which makes a change). Also plenty of space for children to run around. Well kitted out kitchen and amazing to have fresh farm produce steaks and eggs - Yum! Perfect location for us, felt like the middle of nowhere but only 5 mins in the car to the supermarkets and diss. Although there are 3 lodges it's been done well so they feel private. Friendly owners. No doubt we will be booking a future visit soon.
So peaceful, the lodge was perfect.
Next time we go here it will be our 13th visit I think that says it all really don't you :)

Banham Zoo - about 5 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - about 12 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Melsop Farm Park - about 15 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy.
