With an enviable location in the midst of the Waveney Valley these stylish lodges will appeal to both families and couples searching for a peaceful holiday base in the Norfolk area.  You will have the best of both worlds with a rural location and yet within easy reach of the city of Norwich with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Norfolk Broads are also ideal for days out and exploring.

The Kingfisher Lodge is brand new for 2011 and we think makes a stylish holiday choice.  The decor is of a very high standard and there are plenty of mod cons to make your stay a real home from home.  From a top of the range flatscreen tv with freeview to a well equipped kitchen everything has been designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.

Sleeping up to 6 adults the Kingfisher Lodge is spacious and well laid out with one double and one twin bedroom.  Both rooms enjoy a private ensuite bathroom.  There is additional sleeping for two in the lounge area.  Outside the lodge the luxury continues with decking, garden furniture and a private outdoor hot tub.  We think this lodge makes a perfect holiday choice all year round thanks to the central heating and double glazing.

Close by there are some great days out including Banham Zoo less than 6 miles from the lodges and Melsop Farm Park just 15 miles away.  Both of these attractions are ideal for families with children but will also appeal to couples.

As there were 6 Adults (3 couples) staying, it would have been really nice to have had 3 bedrooms, but then we were aware of that before we booked, so aren't compailing particularly as everything else was perfect for our needs.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend break and would definitely stay there again.

This was a holiday planned for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. A beautifully peaceful location in the countryside but just 5 minutes drive into town. Accomodation was very clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped with everything we needed.
Paul andJill were great, offering us a very warm welcome on arrival and always on hand with advice on places to visit etc. We cannot wait to go back there.

The lodge itself was lovely and had everything one would need. All very clean and tidy. The hot tub was fantastic and we all enjoyed it. We hope to stay again soon!
Relaxing and peaceful.
This is our second stay in this lodge, and would stay again. Can't fault it at all, lodge is lovely, surroundings and local wildlife are great and hot tub is a delightful bonus. Highly recommended.
Totally relaxing with a nice little town just 5 minutes drive down the road I literally could not recommend a stay here enough
Third visit to oak farm lodges. Lovely lodges in beautiful surroundings. First time we took the dog and he loved it. Thoroughly recommend.
A beautiful lodge which is situated in a peaceful and tranquil setting, not overlooked and the owners have total respect for your privacy. The lodge itself accommodates all your needs for a relaxing break, very comfortable and the additional decking outside with hot tub makes it the perfect place for a break. The only addition I would have would maybe a couple of sun loungers to relax on after the hot tub or for the beautiful sunny days.
Lovely place to stay, the owners are fantastic and the lodge and hot tub are in such a good quiet location. The Children loved the cows and duck
Jill & Paul are the perfect hosts! They don't bother you, but are near at hand should you need them.
We had an amazing time staying in the lodge. Highly recommended. Owners were welcoming and lovely.
We had very nice quite and peaceful holiday, cabin was great had everything you needed and so clean, the hottub was a great bonus.
Excellent lodge and owners are brilliant hosts. Children loved the space on the farm and the hot tub was well used.

Banham Zoo - about 5 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - about 12 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Melsop Farm Park - about 15 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
