The only down side we had this stay was that there was a lot of dog hair in the lodge especially on the cushions to the outside seats. We take our dog with us, however last year when we stayed this wasn't the case, our dog doesn't loose hair so it was quite noticeable

As above. Didn't really understand what was VIP about the lodge... but lovely nonetheless.

Had a great 4 nights away with my family here. We went in the hot tub first thing in the morning and evening, everyday of our stay. Setting was beautiful and peaceful, managed to see a lot of wildlife from the cabin. Loads to do near by. We went to Go Ape, Cresswell Crags and a day in the lovely city of Lincoln. Would definitely recommend.

This was such a great lodge. There were 5 of us and plenty of room and comfort. The hot tub was fab, even in the rain. The only thing that didn't work was the DVD in the TV, but that's what board games are for

Lovely lodge, spacious with excellent facilities. The hot tub was a particular favourite with us both. The surrounding scenery was lovely with good walking routes. Our dog had a great time. Nearby there are a number of great country parks to visit, with lovely walks and scenery. Highly recommended.

Lovely secluded cabins. We stayed for a week and didn't once hear a sound from the other families in their lodges. So relaxing, will definitely be back!

Fun Days Out near The Sherwood Hideaway Lodges

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
Denby Visitor Centre - about 21 Miles
Denby visitor centre is a fun day out in the Derbyshire region with an array of activities iunder one roof.  An all weather attraction you can take pottery tours, see cookery demonstrations and visit Bourne's restaurant.  There are events and offers on throughout the year for example the Denby factory Shops sale where you can save £££s and October Creepy Crypt for Halloween where you can go along in fancy dress and have your face painted.  Booking is advised so check out the latest details on their website.
Gullivers Kingdom - about 23 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - about 23 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
