Seal Bay Reviews

"Amazing all round holiday every thing was perfect definitely coming again"
Darren - Apr 2024
"We really were looking forward to our break away for Easter. The staff were lovely and the caravan itself was spotless and we could not fault it apart from the fact we paid for a three bedroom caravan due to the fact having our baby with us as well as our older children so we needed to bring a travel cot so presumed the extra bedroom would mean more space and versatility on where I could stay with our baby.Unfortunately the only place to put the travel cot was in the lounge as we had no room to walk around the double bed let alone a cot to the side of us. (It left me confused as you offer for an extra charge to hire a travel cot too so I wonder where you would have placed it if we had hired one direct from you) you were also aware of our babies age as you ask this when we book so would be aware a baby cannot sleep in one of the two additional twin rooms in beds. The pool itself was extremely packed and the changing rooms were dirty, the indoor golf was very misleading from the pictures online as it was much smaller than we imagined. Also as another review has stated the path to the caravan was extremely muddy and wet due to the rain which we know is out of your control but I feel a proper path and not a few patio slabs would be much better to limit the mess that was created. Due to all of this we ended up leaving two days before our holiday was due to finish which was a huge shame."

"Best holiday park I have been to yet. So many things to do. Stayed for 4 night and still so much I didn't get to do."

"Great holiday park, loads to do and right on the beach. Activities are a bit pricey though"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Caravan ideal ???????? 6 people.Clean on arrival. Had cooker toaster kettle microwave and oven. Had abit of trouble getting in as the door wasn't opening with the phone app, staff helped tho and ok after that. Car space outside caravan. Beds made on arrival. At times hot water in the sink was extremely hot! Highly recommended for a short stay."

"Enjoyed the stay. Park clean and tidied. But the beach pad, toilet, kitchen sink was drity. There where items left from previous holiday makers . Stuff left on the patio from the last visitors. Staff was friendly and helpful. Maintenance man was nice and helpful. Sue"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Fantastic having a garden but then we did pay extra than a caravan"
Angela - Nov 2023
"Very cheap for a lovely lodge"
Ben - Jun 2023
"Super beach pads - would definitely re-book.
Upstairs, in the sleeping area was lots of thick dust. Also, had to clean the pull out 'drawer' where the previous tenant had cut bread. This was not clean.

Otherwise, lovely holiday. I just wish we were closer so we could visit more often.
Thank you."
Deborah - Aug 2020
"I went to West Sands with my 2 children (14 & 12) at the end of July and we had a fabulous time. It helped that the weather was amazing so we were able to make full use of the amazing beach (very pebbly so bring beach shoes). We loved climbing the rocks and watching the Sunsets. The facilities were great and my children loved the arcade and of course the swimming pools.
I did however find a real lack of signage considering how large the site is. We got lost a couple of times in the first couple of days and had trouble finding the outside lido. You actually have to leave the site altogether and walk along a road without a pavement to get to a sister park but there were no signs to say this so we ended up turning round and having to queue up in reception to check we were heading in the right direction.
As far as Covid was concerned, I found the caravan exceptionally clean, they limited the amount of people in the swimming pools and closed the changing rooms but I was surprised that they did not insist on us wearing masks in anywhere other than the small shop. The arcade was very much lacking in social distancing etiquette and although there was hand gel scattered around I did not once see anyone in there cleaning.
Covid also meant you could only book the inside pool once every 2 days and you were limited to 20 mins in the outside pool before you had to get out and queue again but that was not the fault of the park, that was just unfortunate circumstances.
Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely come back again."
Caroline - Jul 2020
"Overall a lovely time, will be back"
Jayne - Jul 2020
"Great time had by all. The two girls loved their holiday house as they called it."
Paula - Jul 2020
"Was a great experience as always come back... will deffo be booking again soon... had hand sanitizers everywhere to wash hands was great experience on the bunn bus... would upgrade to a bigger caravan next time right near the complex that has a little bit outside to sit and chill but overall best weekend."
Cara - Mar 2020
"The best holiday ever will deferntily be back"
Charlie - Nov 2019
"Caravan was a little smaller than some we have visited before but it had everything we needed and for four people it wasnt too squashed. Furnishings were great, kitchen kitted out well and beds very comfy."
Louise - Oct 2019
"We actually stayed in a gold as we upgraded when we checked in."
Kevin - Sep 2019
"Caravan was clean and comfortable on arrival. Everything to hand but an iron. Nice to have two toilets between 8 of us."
Christine - Sep 2019
"Great time was had by all...thank you!"
Lyndon - Aug 2019
"Very friendly and great service.Plenty to do. Grandchildren would like to live there."
Josephine - Aug 2019
"Great holiday with grandkids. Will definately return."
Louise - Aug 2019
"Site is well kept. Facilities are good but where quite busy, especially the lido. Restaurants are pretty average."
Darren - Aug 2022
"Fabulous location. Easy to get around the site too. Lovely staff and I particularly loved the strawberry in my Prosecco!"
Frances - Jul 2022
"We stayed at West sands resort and we had a really good time. Caravan was very clean and had all we needed in it and was within walking distance to all facilities including beach.the club house and pool are great.the only downside was that all the extra activities on site came at an extra cost and not cheap either, luckily my family just wanted to swim and go on the beach so it was okay."
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Great place, close to the sea, lots of attractions"
Beata - Jul 2022
"Lovely clean, well landscaped camp.Pools were great. There were a number of play areas and plenty of spaces for children to play The sea was calm & warm. Ideal for adult swimming. It is a very pebbly beach with sudden drop when tide is in so may not be great for young children wanting to paddle unless tide is going out or for them to make sandcastles. The camp does have large sand pits for this and the pools are great for all ages. It is spread over a large area so courtesy bus helps cover distances if you don’t want to walk. The walk from main site to the outdoor pool is on a narrow road with no footpath in places and can be dangerously busy with cars squeezing past The toilets at lido pool although clean never smelt fresh but those inside complex were fine. We only had drinks at the quays and breakfast at the lido. The food was really good value and came quickly. We felt the prices were reasonable & staff were helpful. The other people’s meals looked good and portions were excellent. The supermarket was reasonably well stocked & prices ok compared to local supermarket. Would definitely go again."
