Meadowside Reviews

Emma - Oct 2024
Lovely place with all essentials, really felt like a cosy home away from home.
Alex - Sep 2024
We had a fantastic time here! The location is perfect for exploring North Norfolk’s beaches and countryside. Parking was no trouble at all, with space for four cars and a big grassy area right outside - perfect for quick dog runs. Inside, the house was lovely and well-equipped, making our stay super comfy. The hot tub, pool tableand games kept us entertained for hours. Honestly, it’s a top spot for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely recommend it!
Emma S. - Aug 2024
The house had everything we could want, like a stair gate for the dogs and comfy spaces. West Runton is charming, with cute cafes and shops. The quiet cul-de-sac made it perfect for a relaxing stay. We’d definitely come back!
Emma - Jul 2024
We really enjoyed our stay! The place was roomy, comfyand had everything we needed. There were plenty of kids’ games and a games room, though we didn’t use them much since the weather was so good, so we spent most of our time outside. The oven’s a bit slow to heat up, but the location’s spot onand the Village Inn nearby serves fantastic food. Will come back!
Jamie - Jun 2024
We had a really pleasant stay at the house. The place was spacious and well-equipped, especially nice having a downstairs bedroom and shower. The location was perfect, with a field right next door for our dog to run around. The hot tub was a hit with the girlsand there was plenty of garden seating. We stayed with a big group, so it was a bit pricier, but definitely good value for the space and amenities. Overall, we felt it suited 8 people comfortably, even though there were only 6 of us. Would recommend!
Emily - Jun 2024
We loved the house’s spacious feel and clever layout. The garden was fantastic, perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub and comfy furniture. We didn’t hang out in the lounge much because the weather was so good! The location’s peaceful, yet close to local pubs and beaches. Cromer and Sheringham are just a short drive away. All in all, a brilliant holiday-we’ll be coming back for sure!
Emma - May 2024
Really enjoyed staying here, the house is super well equipped, peaceful at the end of the cul-de-sacand everything feels high quality. No complaints!
James - Apr 2024
Meadowside is a really charming place with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is spot on for taking lovely walks along the beach to Cromer and Sheringham. Perfect for families with pets - we took our two old English sheepdogs and they adored the seaside strolls. The village pub serves great food, but booking ahead is a good idea since it gets busy. Overall, a fantastic spot I’d definitely recommend!
Oliver - Apr 2024
We really enjoyed our stay at Meadowside. The garden was perfect for our dogs to run around freelyand there was plenty of space inside too. The bedding was comfy and of good quality, which was nice. The weather was quite wild, so it was a bit chilly in the house, but that’s just how it was. The kitchen was a great spot for games, though planning ahead is needed if you're using the oven-allow at least an hour to warm up! Overall, we had a lovely break and would definitely come back.
Emma - Mar 2024
Honestly, this place was fantastic. The location is spot on, with stunning views over the sea and the church, which made waking up every morning a treat. We loved the variety of activities - the pool, table tennisand dart board kept everyone entertained, while the hot tub and peaceful garden were perfect for relaxing. The accommodation itself was really comfy, cleanand well-equipped. We even took the train into Sheringham and enjoyed a lovely walk back. All in all, a truly wonderful stay!
Emma - Dec 2023
We stayed here over Christmas 2023 and honestly, it was fantastic! The house had four bedrooms, all well-equipped for a comfy stay. Some rooms offered lovely sea views and glimpses of Beeston Bump, which was a real highlight. We also enjoyed learning about the Black Shuck legend during our visit. Sheringham was just a short walk away, with its charming cafes, arcadesand great fish and chips. The kitchen was top-notchand relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect end to each day. Highly recommend!
Emma - Sep 2023
We had such a lovely stay! Our rescue pup absolutely adored the huge, fully enclosed garden-he spent ages lounging outside. The utility room was a lifesaver for storing all our outdoor gear and dog stuff. The kitchen was well equipped, including a coffee machine, which was great. The bedrooms felt spacious and comfy. Only thing to note is the range oven takes a while to heat up, so planning meals in advance helps. Overall, a fantastic place for us and our furry friend!
Emma - Sep 2023
We had a lovely stay here in mid September with 8 adults, a tiny babyand three dogs. The house is beautifully situated in a peaceful spot and didn’t feel cramped at all. The hot tub and pool table were great extras, especially on dull days. Plus, the enclosed garden was perfect for the pups. Would happily come back!
Emma - Sep 2023
We recently stayed at Meadowside and honestly, it’s one of the nicest places we’ve ever holidayed in. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, making us feel right at home. The beds were super comfy, which was great after long days out. The kitchen was fully equipped, though we had to plan a bit for cooking on the Everhot since it takes a while to heat up. The outdoor BBQ was fantastic and the garden kept the kids entertained for hours. Definitely a lovely place to stay!
Alex - Aug 2023
Really enjoyed staying here; perfect spot, peaceful surroundingsand plenty to explore nearby. Definitely recommend!
James - Jul 2023
We had a fantastic stay at this lovely house. The condition was perfectand it really felt like a home away from home. The kids absolutely loved the outdoor space-cricket, footballand even the railway nearby kept the little ones entertained without any noise issues. The location was great for walks, just half an hour to Sheringham along the coast pathand the access to the beach was a nice bonus. The kitchen was spaciousand we quickly got used to the Aga-style cooker. The hot tub, snookerand table tennis added to the fun-definitely a stay we’d recommend!
Emma Collins - Jan 2023
We really enjoyed our stay at Meadowside! The house and garden were beautifully maintainedand the nearby beach and shops made everything so convenient. Definitely will be recommending it to friends and family - a lovely spot all around!
Emma - Jul 2022
We had a fantastic week at this cosy house with our grown-up kids and in-laws-6 of us in total. The place is really spacious inside and outsideand it’s thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The fully enclosed garden was a real bonus for our dogs, no worries about them running off. It’s tucked away at the end of a gravel driveway, with stunning views over the churchyard, Beeston Bumpand the sea. Loved the coastal walks, local puband tea shop. Definitely a 10/10 experience!
Emma S. - Nov 2021
We enjoyed a lovely weekend at this place, celebrating a special birthday with the family. The house was well-equipped and comfortable, plus the spa pool and pool table added extra fun. Great coastal walks just nearby made it perfect. We’d happily come back - definitely a memorable trip!
Sarah J. - Oct 2021

Attractions Near Meadowside

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Meadowside. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 2 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 9 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 16 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 16 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 17 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 28 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 34 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 36 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
