Bron Eifion Lodges Reviews

"It was good enough for a few blokes playing golf for a long weekend. The lodge seemed a little tired and you could definitely smell dogs but no big deal."
Richard - Jul 2024
"Furnishings are all very dated and seen better days, but the sofas had been covered so ok , hot tub a bit rusty and the fence surrounding it had fallen away"
Rosie - Jul 2024
"Was a lovely stay.Carol went above and beyond.Very cosy cabin, my dog enjoyed too.Lovely lake, very relaxing and the fishermen loved it.Shame the road on grounds had too many pot holesOutside very narrow roads.Overall was a good stay .Thank you"
Susana - Jul 2024
"Have been to Cedron Lodge many times over the years and it has all that we need."
Verified Guest - Jun 2024
"Definitely won't be back, what an absolute joke, not very clean, or comfortable, shower was a laugh as only a trickle of water, ants over worktops, hot tub not cleaned properly! Utensils missing, no trays to cook on"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"the teigl Lodge has all you need for a relaxing holiday"
Stephen - Mar 2024
"Nice clean place no dish washer £1 electric meter Lovely spa wet dog smell in cabin take frebreeze with you Self catering"
Robert - Feb 2024
"Not really value for the price paid, some of the kitchen cupboards have doors missing, drawers were broken ,it was a mixture of utensils, pots and pans were not up to par for use, kettle was badly stained and needed replacing, toilet door was sticking and had to be banged to get in and out, there was a hole in the decking right outside the front door which they had put a traffic cone over to stop us falling over"
Valerie - Jan 2024
"We booked this as a family to stay over Christmas and it was honestly disgusting. We were there for a 4 night stay and for what they charge, we expected something nice or at least clean. What we didnt expect was sofas that are ripped to shreds, with all of the plastic leather look material almost all peeled off, beds with missing slats, mattresses with stains and mould spores, bedding and pillows all had dark yellow stains, mattresses and head board full of stains, dust and rust, black mould and cobwebs all over the windows, door frames and furniture, dirty crockery, dirty utensils, cutlery and missing crockery. We also didnt expect to be paying through the nose for our own electric, which wasnt on our original booking. We didnt expect the place to stink of urine, mould and foist. We didnt expect old food in the microwave, bottom of the toaster, stuck to the filthy washing up bowl and all over the chopping boards and oven glove. We didnt expect the kitchen items to all be thick with grease and stink of old chip fat. When we contacted the owners, we were told if you dont like it - go home! The fire extinguisher was 14 years out of date and electrics had t been tested for 13 years. The hot tub was covered in a thick layer or smeg and had what looked like lumps of snot floating on the water. The place needs closing down."
Michelle - Jan 2024
"Definitely not what we expected. There was no hot water to wash up. Had to keep boiling the kettle which was taking up the electricity, that you pay for by coin meter !!There was cobwebs everywhere, the cooker door was broken, a kitchen drawer was missing, the curtains had missing hooks, that made them look untidy and the oven baking tray hadn't been washed and had a burnt substance on it.Oh I forgot, we were given a tenner to cover the electricity, or we were told to get a bowl of hot water from the cabin next door, to wash up."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Pleasantly surprised on arrival. Not sure why the cost of electricity was so high for previous guest but we stayed for 4 days and used a very minimal amount. The site is smaller than it looks with not as much walking around it as expected. For a wooden chalet it was surprisingly warm and cosy. But - maintenance is not high on the owners list of priorities. There are mould patches on windows and access for creatures you shouldnt have to live with! There are slug trails around the living areas and I found one in the sink on our first morning., one up the side of the cupboard on the second and on the floor the next evening. This to me is far more important than crockery not matching, (ours did), no DVD ( who even watches DVDs these days?) and no Wi-Fi or signal - Its good to get away from technology for a few days. Dirty curtains and dusty walls. The chalets would benefit from a very deep clean and access from undesirable creatures to the property filled in. The lodge was very dark- dark wood walls, navy blue curtains and very low level light bulbs. We struggled to see. We had a walk into Criccieth which was very easy and walkable and took us around 25 minutes. The town centre is beautiful as are the staff in the pubs, cafes and shops. We were out around 5 hours. The meter takes one pound coins so take some with you. We had gas central heating for which we were charged (from the deposit) a very low amount for four days although it wasnt that cold to be fair."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Some updating of the lodge is due but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023

Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Nice location"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"The advertising was a lot more palatial than what we got.I think the pictures were old.The lodges were tired and the showers leaked over the floor.Surroundings ie lake was lovely and the children and dogs enjoyed themselves.Maybe some advance information about the state of the track to the lodges would have been helpful. The lady in charge was lovely"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Very basic but everything is there. Curtains very faded, cooker cleaned so much no numbers on dials. Having said that everything worked just a bit tired. It wouldnt stop us going again. Looked in next doors as it was empty which had a lovely log burner and more a bit more updated so would book that one in future."
Julie - May 2022
"Love it , I'd go again x"
Linda - May 2022
"It has all the basics, but that is all you need. It is not perfect, but it is cleaned and absolutely in a condition that you can enjoy your time away. We cooked for 2 nights, it had everything there we needed the other nights we got takeout from Cricceth near-by which is about a 5 min drive away. In the hot-tub each night, it was clean and always operating."
Kimberley - Apr 2022
"Great spacious lodge with 3 bedrooms. Everything you need for a get away. Only downside is creaky floors but that can not be help with wooden lodge. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone."
Carl - Apr 2022
"Mattresses were quite springy and not overly comfortable until you adapt. The lodge was very clean apart from small patches of mould on the sealant in the shower."
Fiona - Apr 2022
"Fishing very good,holiday not recommended"
Tony - Mar 2022
"Very cosy perfect for the family "
Chelsea - Feb 2022
"tied building, not that clean, fridge pack in, washing machine did not work, only half the light bulbs worked, plenty of cobwebs high level, mold in places, need mantainance to pull there socks up. Could be a very good place when work is finished."
Ian - Feb 2022
"On arrival to the location not very pleclng to the eye car parking place at reception full of road surface taking up space road to lodge full ov potholes lodge it's self on the outside windows not cleaned outside bins not empty inside lodge in sided back door molding lights not bright enough in sided very D£te"
David - Feb 2022
"The shower had lots of mold and had to go buy mold spray to clean . The kitchen top cupboards was covered in grease and curtains poles looked like they havnt been cleaned for years full of black grease . The handles were on the cupboards were greasy . I tried to clean them but couldn't get them clean with washing up liquid. The curtains looked like they hadn't ever been washed. Light bulbs were missing . We liked The lodge and would love to come back but not how dirty it isI thought that's why we can't go in the lodge till 5 because of them cleaning . The camp has been shut on lock down they could of deep cleaned it then"
Linda - Jan 2022

"Fantastic stay overall! Very warm welcome on arrival and shown all amenities. Pod was clean and well presented and had everything a person could need. I liked that the kitchen had all utensils available and had a real homely feel. Very close to town and local attractions. A gentle 20 minute stroll into town for dinner and to paddle in the sea. View from pod was amazing especially on a clear evening when you can sit in the hot tub with a glass of bubbly!"
