Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park Reviews

"Excellent for a weekend of relaxation. Lodge clean with plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen and a good location (2 pubs and a spar a couple minutes drive) roseberry topping a 15 minute drive. Excellent"
Emily - Mar 2025
"Micro lodge, so the a lot of space. Such a beautiful view! Area is very quiet, could have stayed longer! Looking to book again, wont stay anywhere else in the area!"
Verified Guest - Feb 2025
"Perfect accommodation, very spacious and comfortable. Very modern decor and matches throughout. Love that there is an en-suite and a family bathroom."
Jade - Jan 2025
"Awful ghe place was full with flies I had 4 fly strips dotted about and each one had roughly 20 flies on them"
Patrick Walker - Nov 2024
"Our Cleveland Hills View Holiday Park review: Would be better if you got free WIFI, my daughter ran out of Data so she wasn't happy, but we were aware that they didn't provide WIFI,"
Lisa - Nov 2024
"Poor furniture couch and bed"
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"Would not return to this place again. We got here and there was no reception or any kind of staff about but one warden who we saw once. The whole place was very derelict. We first walked into our lodge which was the "Swaledale lodge" and at first glance everything looked nice, until we noticed tonnes and tonnes of flies. All over the sofa, round the extractor fan, all over the curtains, the bedrooms, they were everywhere. We tried to stay positive and killed them and kept windows and doors closed but they were getting back in from somewhere. We couldn't open any windows or doors as flies were just swarming in, causing the smoke alarm to be constantly going off when cooking. We informed the warden who said it was due to the fact we're next to a farmers field, which didn't make sense as it's November and still wouldn't get as many as what was in here. We were given fly spray from the warden but didn't really help our situation. Hot tub was really murky water and bubbles didn't work very well. It just felt very dirty. There was no rain all weekend but the decking was constantly wet, green and slimy and very slippy, which was dangerous especially for children. We was not expecting on our two day stay that we would have to keep our drinks glasses and food covered to keep flies away, as there really were that many flies! The beds were comfy and there was good tv signal, if it wasn't for the fly infestation and the unhygenic hot tub and decking, I think our experience would've been alot different which a total shame, but we could not see past this unfortunately. We have read previous reviews since coming home, saying the same issue which is why i can't understand why nothing has been done about it."
Elle - Nov 2024
"Absolutely gutted the photos on the website were not what we got, the place was Absolutely filthy cobwebs dead flys brown markings on the wall the bed sheet kept coming of mattress Was not comfy, the sofa bed was horrendous full of crumbs and muck and dust and dirt nothing really we could cook with no chopping board attention to detail really. Definitely needs some work doing on it however the staff were very lovely and helpfull with any Queries the surrounding was beautifull and the views was amazong it was just A shame we had to leave a night early as we just Couldnt stay in the beds one more night with how dirty it was"
Verified Guest - Nov 2024
"We stayed at Coverdale Lodge and were warmly greeted on arrival. The lodge was exceptionally cleanone of the cleanest Ive ever stayed in. The hot tub was on the smaller side but perfectly suited for the two of us. The area was lovely and quiet, with the charming town of Stokesley just a 5-minute drive away. Theres plenty to do in the surrounding area, although nothing is within walking distance from the holiday park.Overall, I would recommend this place and would happily return. That said, I do need to mention the flieswe did have a few. While they were more of an annoyance than a major issue, its something that should be addressed. Considering it was November, and we didnt have doors or windows open, it seemed unusual."
Sarah - Nov 2024
"Lovely place nice and quiet relaxing good staff would recommend"

"Everything perfect apart from no WiFi."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Couldnt get a taxi from that location so if you fancy a drink at a local pub think again. Was told the hot tub would be topped up daily which didnt happen even though I messaged the owner and told me he would be there but never turned up.Stains on bedding but luckily took our ownWill not be returning or recommending"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Amazing facilities and private hot tub makes it stand out"
Devis - Mar 2024
"We stayed in regency lodge. The lodge was not clean mugs were dirty and there was a bad smell through out the lodge not to mention the hot tub. There are no sanitary bins in any bathroom which is a basic necessity. The TV screen had lines running through it when turned on. The mattress was cheap you could feel the springs in your back. We brought food for the couple of nights which then got frozen in the fridge. It just doesnt have a homely comfort feeling. The location is perfect for people who enjoy the out doors and mark was helpful upon arrival"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"The lodge was clean and tidy and was very worth the money."
Jake - Mar 2024
"Enjoyable few days away to spend with family Just what the doctor ordered"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Lovely place with stunning view"
John - Feb 2024
"The place was lovely but was a bit outdated! The hosts were friendly and showed you around the lodge! The hot tub was a bit small for 3 of us too. Shower didnt drain properly & the extractor fan above the oven was leaking water!"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"A lovely relaxing vacation in a lovely well kept area"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"We were very sceptical prior to our break having read other reviews, but honestly we need not have worried. Maybe just the time of year we went but no flies at all! The lodge was lovely and clean, yes there were some tired and worn areas, such as the sofa and a few other imperfections including small cracks in doors (filled and painted) the lodge also lack some essentials such as scissors, pizza cutter, oven trays, oven gloves/tongs, a side table in living room would also have been nice. The mattress was a bit soft for us but bedding again lovely and clean. The Teesdale lodge is one of the biggest we have stayed in and the hot tub was a great addition, we again had an issue with this, but mark quickly rectified. We had a great relaxing Christmas break away, avd would definitely return."
Donna - Dec 2023
"Nice and clean lodges hot tub was nice and clean bed was comfortable all in all good experience"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Dirty very few utensils the hit tub had a mouldy lid that's was all ripped and peices of it in the hot tub so could not use it the water smelt awful"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Quiet and peaceful stayed in November 1923 aged 61,and 63"
John - Nov 2023
"See info of flies flies flies on most reviews, bit of a trend here , at least try combat to make stay more pleasant!!!"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had a fantastic time at the lodge, very spacious and well equipped, the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that bothered us was the fridgeit smelt like off cheese/milk which was very very bad and as it was warm that week we was there think this made it worse, this really does need changing. Apart from hthat we had a fab time."
Danielle - Jan 1970
"Such a lovely little holiday park. It was perfect for our few nights away, in a peaceful area and no noise from other cabins due to the space between them."
Alex - Jul 2022
"Perfect safe place staff were really friendly and so helpful. The site and lodge was clean and quiet. Great place to rest and then travel out to nearby villages and Whitby beach. Definitely recommend"
Gregg - Jul 2022
"We had a fabulous mini break here last weekend. We loved the location and the hot tub. Nice and relaxing and not too busy. Lodges have a good amount of space between them. Would definitely like to return."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"Very nice mini lodge. Just some small things like no mirror in bathroom."
Muneer - Jul 2022
"we enjoyed our break the only thing i would say is the sofa is really uncomfortable to sit on if you want to watch TV on an evening and there was only 1 chair on the decking with the table so if there is 2 of you that is not much good but other than that it was a lovely break we only saw a staff member once but kerry was always on the end of a text message if needed."

With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.

Come rain or shine children need to be entertained and Creepy Crawlies just north of York is the perfect place!
