Sandy Beach Holiday Park Reviews

"Excellent accommodation and location, and good value. Everything we needed was included. It is well insulated and very warm. Large TV with Sky channels. A great deal."
Christine - Oct 2024
"This luxury lodge lived up to its name. It definitely has the wow factor with a wonderful open feel. Fabulous views of the beach in both directions. We will be coming again."
Alan - Sep 2024
"Would like to leave a good review but unfortunately the bad out weighed the good. It all started when I got a phone call on the day of checkin to ask whether I wanted bedding supplied (which I had paid for) I then got asked if I knew where I was going. But considering I had, had no correspondence no I didnt know. This information was all given to me over the phone which I was not prepared for. We then arrived on site which in all fairness was in a lovely area with really nice places to eat near by and a great beach on our door step. On entering the static caravan I didnt think it was too bad. Very dated but seemed to have everything we needed. Was disappointed the bed was not maid as we had to pay extra for bedding but again not the end of the world. When we then started looking abit closer we could see the place had not been cleaned properly. Every ceiling had cobwebs along with the resident spiders living in them. This was the hole way through the caravan. Very disappointing as I would see this as a simple step of cleaning. I could not stay like this so had to get the hoover out (which was still full of dirt) and clean the place. This only took about 15 mins so why it wasnt done before we arrived I will never know, definitely not something I expected to be doing on my break away. Very disappointed over all and debated leaving after the first night."

"Caravan was as described and in good condition. Would have been better if there had been some clothes hangers in the wardrobe."

"GOOD, NEAR BEACH."
Peacelyn - Feb 2024
"Nice quiet site, good location for Cromer and Great Yarmouth"
Michael - Feb 2024
"Great location. Quiet site. Facilities available in the village"
Julie - Feb 2024
"Lovely position and view from the caravan, a short walk to the beach. It was well-equipped. clean and warm. Very quiet spot, and might not be for everyone, but we liked it. As there was a lot of sand from the beach would have liked to have a working vacuum cleaner so we could clean it better."
Olga - Jan 2024
"Roly who manages the park with his wife could not be more helpful. The park is undergoing a refurbishment so they upgraded to a van away from the noise."

"Nice caravan with lovely views."
John - Nov 2023
"We had a brilliant sea view in really quiet surroundings which was perfect for us. The accommodation was very comfortable the only thing that would have made it exceptional would have been a balcony area to give a little more privacy when sitting out as other residents kept walking across our grass area whilst we were sitting there."
Linda - Nov 2023
"Great place. Very helpful and accommodating hosts. Couldnt do enough for me. The caravan was fabulous and spotless. Im away with work and perfect for me just a pitty it was booked up this week with it being half term I suppose but it doesnt surprise me. Looking forward to going back next week hopefully."

Attractions Near Sandy Beach Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Sandy Beach Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 13 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 17 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 20 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 24 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 26 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 30 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 31 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 33 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
