Yorkshire Spa Retreat Reviews

"Beautiful lodge and clean with a lovely comfy bed and brilliant facilities. Hot tub was amazing. Would highly recommend"
Kirsty - Apr 2024
"Beautiful lodge, really luxurious. Lots of space. The outdoor area with hot tub was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean and we felt like we were the first to stay in the lodge which was a pet free one Great appliances and good spec. Beds were lovely. The only negative is that the lodge looked straight out onto the park road, as it's a new site there aren't any trees or hedges to obscure the lodge, so anyone walking or driving past can see straight into lodge. It felt a bit like a goldfish bowl. Not sure whether some frosted glass over part might help with this. Staff were very friendly. We didn't use the spa or the dome so can't comment on those.Great spot for exploring beautiful North Yorkshire. We visited Castle Howard, York, York outlets and picturesque and foodie lovers Helmsley.Wouldn't hesitate to stay again."
Katy - Apr 2024
"Homely and spacious, more than enough for a family of 4. Had so much storage. Hot tub was big and powerfulOpen outdoor bbq and relaxing area. Would definitely recommend."
Victoria - Apr 2024
"A excellent well equipped lodge with beautiful decor and comfortable beds. The hot tub was a good temperature and very clean. The outdoor kitchen and BBQ area were very pleasant. Robes and slippers provided were a nice touch. The dog hamper and also the bag of local goodies were well received.. A bottle of fresh milk in the fridge on arrival was a god send. A dog bed and bowl were also provided. We would definitely book this lodge again."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Lodge was v nice, good equipment and nicely laid out - built in wardrobe in master bedroom with en-suite on one side and ample cupboard on the other was good."
Christian - Apr 2024
"Very clean and kept temperature very well"
Joseph - Apr 2024
"Lovely relaxing stay in a VIP lodge. With Just a few quibbles which didn't ruin our stay but would make everything perfect if they were fixed. The washing machine wouldn't work, even after following the instructions. The dishwasher was filthy, so we had to opt for washing up by hand and the hall carpet was also stained. As the weather had been quite wet before our stay, the grass around the hot tub was quite muddy, so an improvement would be to extend the paving slightly around the tub, otherwise you have to stand on the wet grass to open and close the lid. Apart from these issues the lodge was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The hamper and the little extras were a lovely touch."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Had a 3 night break away at the spa retreat in one of the dog friendly lodges, what an amazing hidden gem. Absolutely everything was thought of, the lodges were stunning, modern and very well equipped. We loved the little touches like the hamper with local produce and even the dogs got their own little welcome pack. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing break away. It is situated close to Helmsley which is a cute little village with lots of nice walks around and close enough to the coast for a day out. We also used the spa which again was really good, modern and so relaxing with such a nice vibe, we will definitely be visiting again in the summer months. The dome restaurant is so cute, we enjoyed a breakfast one morning which was very tasty cooked by the friendly chef who greeted us everytime we went into the restaurant. Cocktails were great too! All the staff here are so chatty and friendly we just cannot recommend it enough."
Lucy - Mar 2024
"Lovely lodge, very comfortable and well equipped but quite small. Very clean."
Katie - Mar 2024
"Absolutely stunning Lodge with loads of lovely extras to make the stay extra special. Cannot think or anything that its missing. Attention to detail and practicality is very impressive."
Sarah - Mar 2024
"Just excellent. Very clean, spacious, all the facilities worked, cant fault it."
Nicole - Mar 2024
"Enjoyed holiday on a quiet park"
Michael - Mar 2024
"Very clean and well stocked could not fault anything hot tub was absolutely fantastic thank you"
John - Mar 2024
"The loadge was perfect my freinds said I had picked such a nice place and was very impressed and the hamper and robes and slipers for the spa day was a lovely touch"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Great accommodation with high quality throughout and very comfortable."
Christopher - Mar 2024
"Excellent weekend break with lovely meals & beautiful lodge"
Nicola - Mar 2024
"A beautiful lodge. Not enough sofa space for 6 people but there are dining chairs you can use. It could do with some little tables to put drinks on. Apart from these minor wants, everything you needed was included, the welcome package was lovely and you would never have known that a pet had been in it."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Loved it comfortable for 4 people"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Lodge was perfect. Spacious. Everything was off very good quality. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. We all commented on how comfortable the beds and pillows were."
Pauline - Mar 2024
"Our party of six people only had seating for 5 in the living room. My bedroom didn't have any night time reading lights."
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Our lodge was perfectly located on the site, close to the spa and restaurant. The welcome pack for both humans and dogs was an excellent addition. Its always good to have washing up soap, sponges, cloths and hand soap in a lodge. Its the small things that can make a big difference!"
Claire - Feb 2024
"Excellent weekend staff brilliant and the service very good would definitely go again"
Glynn - Feb 2024
"The best lodge Ive stayed in and best for being dog friendly too. Cleanliness and amenities provided 10/10! Lovely welcome pack, easy check in, staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Dog wash facilities are great after using the enclosed field. Spa is amazing, visited on a stormy day and still enjoyable, restaurant also lovely and nice cocktails! Would 100% return. Only recommendation is to have more lighting around the lodge and park itself as it was too dark on early mornings and later nights and to have more of an enclosed/fenced off space around dog friendly lodges."
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"We absolutely loved our stay. So cosy and cute. Great facilities and a really comfy bed! The spa was lovely and very clean. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The ladies on reception were fabulous, couldnt do enough for us.We cant wait to stay again!"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"Fab break everything was lovely , Spa , lodge , restaurant . Only one small niggle was no lamps in living area , which I prefer . Not a fan of sitting with main lights on constantly ."
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"Lovely weekend break , spa is beautiful, restaurant is good , amazing Sunday lunch , lovely, helpful staff"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"The lodge was lovely and clean. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Spa facilities onsite were good. We were lucky with weather as dry but I do wonder with access to all spa activities were outside in wet weather it would be rather difficult. Spa area could improve changing facilities with larger area and addition of an indoor pool would be fantastic. Also small shop for essentials on site as site quiet remote. Having said this I would return and we had a great weekend"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"Staff friendly and helpful"
Verified Guest - Jan 2024
"Limited time to use the facilities only get a couple of hours a day which is poor to say the huge price difference to have a hot tub lodge."
Natalie - Dec 2023
"We were disappointed by the size of the accommodation for the price we had paid.I didn't have the best night's sleep due to the size I felt a bit closed in so wasn't great for me personally. However the bonus was the amazing hot tub on the balcony area which was lovely. We did however only get to use this once as the next morning our pipes had frozen and we had no water. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and moved us to another lodge which was much bigger and better but didn't have a functioning hot tub which was disappointing as this was the main reason we had booked.Overall the staff were supportive and helpful and made the experience more bearable."
