About Woodland Park Lodges

Situated deep within the unspoilt countryside of Shropshire, this exclusive and peaceful site provides an idyllic rural retreat. We recommend Woodland Park Lodges to families looking for somewhere to relax and couples seeking a romantic escape.

The site is located just a few minutes from the charming lakeside town of Ellesmere. Here visitors will find a selection of shops, cafes and pubs. Shropshire is considered to be the green heart of England and walking and cycling are excellent ways to explore. Snowdonia National Park is also within reach offering easy access to numerous outdoor pursuits. Back onsite there is an adventure playground for children and a clubhouse.

There are several types of lodge to choose from, but the VIP lodges are the ones to go for if a private hot tub is desirable. Cedar Lodge VIP and Elm Lodge VIP both sleep 6 and are perfect for families or groups. Oak Lodge VIP sleep 8 and are a good option for larger parties as they are very spacious. All lodges are very well equipped for self catering and have all the mod cons including flat screen TVs. Many of the lodges have beautiful woodland views from the hot tubs.

"The only issues I have with the place are petty and unimportant, of things they have no control over such as the lack of phone signal and wifi. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again!"

"Private hot tub, wifi intermittent. Stayed in redwood large lodge short walk to picnic area and had anchors to attach dogs leads which was a bonus."
Cheryl - Jul 2022
"Lovely stay in the Beech Lodge. Very clean and organised. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was great for relaxing when the children were asleep, although we found that the temperature wouldn't turn down even though we kept setting it to lower; it was a little bit too hot for us after about 20 mins. Location is good, we visited Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Colwyn Bay, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Chester Zoo and the British Iron Works. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay; we only wish it was longer."
April - Jul 2022
"What an amazing stay here couldn’t fault the lodge / it was larger than expected! We booked for 8 and held 8 so was amazed it had en suite for all and lots of space - Nice Dining area and kitchen , decor was lovely ?, thank you! And special mention to Ian who was really friendly :) and helped us to the village when there were no taxis / definitely recommend and will definitely be back !"

"On arrival the lodge was warm, the staff had left a light on for us too. The lodge was bigger than we expected but cosy at the same time, the bedroom were large too with storage. Beds were super comfy we all had a good night slept. The kitchen was fully equipped. We stayed in a pet friendly lodge but you wouldn't of known. Staff very helpful and friendly, especially Helen who when above and beyond not once for twice for us, thanks Helen. We would defiantly recommend Woodland Park Lodgers super stay."
Verified Guest - Mar 2020
"On arrival it was found that there was an electrical fault in the kitchen of the lodge. Although we had a pet with us we were upgraded to another lodge ( which was not pet friendly). This was excellent and we would give it 10/10. We would stay in this lodge again if it was pet friendly."
Gillian - Mar 2020
"Very cosy cabin, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, and quiet despite Storm Ciara !"
