Mudo Mynydd Lodges

Wales Denbighshire Hendrerwydd

With miles of gorgeous beaches, traditional seaside resorts and acres of unspoilt countryside, Denbighshire is a great place to explore - and Mudo Mynydd Lodges have stunning views across to Snowdonia National Park. Hendrerwydd is close to the pretty town of Mold where you can visit ancient monuments and walk the Town Trail.

You're just a minute or two from a superb gastropub and a little further afield, you can enjoy good food in the Llindir Inn at Henllan, a 13th century thatched pub. There's an excellent sailing club at Alwen and riding at Bridlewood, near Prestatyn. Love golf? Heswall in the Wirral is a beautiful course with views across the Welsh hills.

This small cluster of lodges is brand new and all are luxuriously furnished and decorated. Sandalwood Lodge has three bedrooms - a master double with ensuite shower and two twin rooms. The stylish lounge/kitchen has doors leading out to decking with an outdoor hot tub and beautiful countryside views.

The Roman Tours at Chester, under 20 miles away, offer a really good insight into the fascinating history of the city and Bodelwyddan Castle is also a great place to visit with its museum, parkland and formal gardens.

Our Top Tip
"The beaches at both Prestatyn and Rhyl are popular with visitors - and Rhyl has traditional Punch and Judy shows and fairground rides."

We loved our stay here, lodge very well equipped, lovely and clean, lovely views, hot tub was amazing, the lady who ran the lodge was very approachable and very helpful.

A lovely pub with open fire, pool table, tv and serves food a mins walk away, bar staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

I would love to go back in the summer.

my only bit of advice would be to take plenty of milk, we ran out and the nearest shop was a 45min walk away.

Lovely place only slightly let down by attention to detail regarding the kitchen cleanliness, fridge could have been a bit cleaner, the frying pan was well used and cutlery drawer had crumbs in it but nothing that would put us off returning, (maybe I am a clean freak)? Hot tub was fantastic and maintenance of it impeccable
