Romansleigh Retreat offers a range of 2 bedroom lodges or apartments, all beautifully styled with comfortable, modern interiors. The lodges boast contemporary open-plan living with private decking and the lodges also benefit from the luxury of a private hot tub. Soak away your troubles as you relax under the stars. These are perfect for romantic escapes or family getaways.

There is everything you would need to make your stay here complete, including a flat-screen TV with Freeview, kitchen appliances such as a microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and a washer-dryer and the fact they are double glazed and centrally heated means you can have a comfortable visit all year round. The apartments offer luxury first floor views over the stunning woodland scenery.

A short drive away you will find the town of South Molton, which is well worth a visit. You are also spoilt with Exmoor National Park being close by, offering a range of walking trails to explore and beautiful scenery to admire.

If beaches are more your scene, then the North of the county has beautiful golden beaches such as Westward Ho! And Croyde, which offers a laid-back surfy vibe. Perfect whether you are feeling active or purely wish to relax.

There are no on-site facilities at Romansleigh Retreat, but this gives you the opportunity to explore the local area more. You can visit the Corn Dolly Tea Shop for afternoon tea in nearby South Molton. Or perhaps visit The Bell Inn for a pub lunch at Chittlehampton, which is about 20 minutes drive away. The site is dog-friendly so you can even bring your pooch along for the holiday.

South Molton Pannier Market

South Molton Pannier Market is an indoor flea market and offers a variety of 70 stalls to browse every Thursday and Saturday. Whilst you’re visiting the town you can also visit South Molton Museum.

Rock and Rapid Adventures

Quince Honey Farm is a working honey farm and is a lovely day out if you’re with the family. Visit the nectar gardens, partake in a honey factory tour and enjoy the nature trails, outdoor play area and soft play in the play hive! Castle Hill in Devon

If you want to take in some of the Devonshire histories, be sure to visit Castle Hill, Devon. The gardens here showcase 50 acres of historic Parkland set against the impressive 18th century Palladian Mansion House. After exploring the gardens, where dogs are welcome too, be sure to enjoy a home made cake, cream tea, or light lunch in the tearoom.
