History fans should also make time to visit Cromer Hall, a gorgeously gothic mansion house dating back to the Victorian era.
Discover exotic animals from South America at Amazona Zoo, located on the outskirts of town. Children will love learning about the conservation work being done, as well as seeing the animals being fed by the zookeepers.
Situated nearby is Felbrigg Hall, a stunning mansion from the 15th Century owned by the National Trust. As well as a lavishly decorated interior, there are beautiful gardens to explore and an expansive lake. The trails around the woodland are all pushchair-friendly, ideal for families with younger children.
The Wizard Maze is a summer park just 10 minutes away from Cromer. There are countless activities on offer for children of all ages, ranging from the maze to explore, tractor and train rides, a zip wire and an animal park. There are places to sit and eat a picnic, or alternatively visitors can eat at the Wizard Farm Café.
For those wanting a city outing, the thriving town of Norwich is less than an hour’s drive away. There are incredible shopping opportunities for some retail therapy, as well as numerous eateries available so that visitors can spend a whole day out in the city.
Discover the fantastic architecture at Norwich Castle, a historic Norman landmark. Norwich Cathedral is also nearby, a stunning example of gothic architecture.
Closer to Cromer is Sheringham Park, a National Trust property comprised of 1,000 acres of gardens famous for its rhododendrons and azaleas as well as unforgettable coastal views.
Guests should also visit the town of Sheringham near the property, a seaside town just north of Cromer. You can also walk along the Norfolk Coast Path back to Cromer and enjoy the panoramic coastal views along the way.
