"Great accommodation, only thing that should be added is a gate on the deck so that dogs/young kids can be safe when on the deck"

"Excellent value for money. The bill is was well equipped and very dog friendly. The Wi-Fi worked amazingly and we were never cold thanks to an efficient central heating system within the villa. We cooked twice while there and had everything we needed and loved the welcome pack of fresh milk, scones cream and jam."

"Lodge was very spacious hot tub was a bonus everything was in lodge we needed cooker, microwave, even got little treat when we got there"

"The only things we can mention is the sofa in the lounge area wasnt comfortable enough to sit on after a while and the bed had a gap in the middle. Could have done with somewhere to store the fishing gear out by the front door. But that being said still had a great time away and would definitely go back"

"Fantastic! The lodge was lovely, all the little added extra touches were thoughtful. Play area is great, my daughter absolutely loved it. Love the fire pit and we had fun there of an evening with some marshmallows. Extremely dog friendly in fact, Ive never been anywhere before that thought of the dogs so much. Amazing!"

"Fantastic place! We will definitely be returning. Immaculate accommodation and public areas. Great for dogs - bar staff bring a dog bed to place beside your table, water bowls everywhere. Activities included in the price. Lovely indoor pool. Hot tub was hot and ready when we arrived. Great kitchen with all the utensils and crockery you could need. Comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms. Wonderful view of the lake from our lodge. Peaceful stay. Really highly recommend."

"Was great but cleanness was a bit of an issue in the pod. The floor was dusty and needed a vacuum. You couldnt walk barefoot or youd have stuff on your feet. I know its dog friendly but better cleaning would have made it perfect. Also slightly disappointed the bed was two twins put together but not the end of the world, overall the place was amazing"

"Accommodation (Willow holiday home for 6) very clean and new. Comfy beds and sofa, kitchen decently equipped (oven not the best though). Large fridge and freezer. Well heated (easy to adjust heating yourself), good powerful shower. In nice location on site with lovely views from back row (we were no 24, think back row is from 22 upwards). Nice sized main bedroom with lots of storage. Small twin bred rooms but as youd expect for holiday home. The beds in second bedroom are very small - only really suitable for young children (worth checking measurements in accommodation details when you book!) Only really worked for us as we had a 6 person home for just 4 of us, so teenage daughters had a room each and could push beds together in second room. The room is also very small - only tiny space between the two beds. Just worth knowing in advance of booking."

"Our holiday was swapped from Finlake last minute due to an accidental leak. Clawford Lakes accommodated us for our week. I can not praise ALL their staff enough. From meeting Mandy the Accommodation Manager , Katie from the Gorgeous Restaurant to meeting Ian the grounds man. The accommodation was extremely clean, modern, spacious & relaxing. The pool as well as the water sports are all included in the price so great for families wanting to get out with nature. We had a hot tub in our lodge which was great for us as a family that wanted to relax & retreat from a workaholic lifestyle. We brought our Chihuahua Kevin with us too & being surrounded with fantastic walks, acres of woods & nature we took great advantage of it all. Weve actually booked for next year. ??????????"

"The sofa bed in the lodge wasnt the most comfortable as a sofa, so watching a movie in the evening wasnt great. The bed was insanely comfortable, were very early risers usually but because of the giant squishy bed, and the blackout blinds, we found ourselves still in bed at 8:30 on the Sunday morning which was lovely. Kitchen has everything you could think of and more."

"Very small bedrooms me and my three children stayed in a 6 bed lodge and my children decided to sleep in the frontroom on the floor as the beds were tiny (more for toddlers) Other than that it was a good stay."

"A fantastic place for a relaxing holiday, even if you don't fish!"

"We didn't come to fish - we just wanted a break, though having seen the lakes I would like to come back and fish them at a let date. The thing that strikes you about the place is how quiet it is and that was acknowledging the building work that was still going on. The welcome pack of goodies was a surprise and a real nice touch - thank you, plus we found a Waitrose not that far away in Holsworthy. The weather, which was great, obviously influenced our review, but it was so nice to have our meals on our patio and just chill and this place lets you do that. We heard that there are big plans for the site, including erecting quite a few more lodges, so it will be interesting to see how things progress. Hopefully the serenity of the place isn't spoilt as it grows. Two small gripes - 1. There was no mirror, except in the bathroom, making drying hair a bit of a challenge (this was more of an issue for my wife - she has a lot more hair than me!) - 2. The shower was a bit small. We're not big people but are a bit older than some and when you dropped the soap, let's just say that it was a bit of a challenge to pick it up! These may both have been addressed in other apartments/other accommodation, but thought it worth mentioning. Overall though, we'd recommend (and have already recommended) this place."

"The lodge was amazing and was situated on the lake side. The accessible bathroom was great for someone with a disability. The takeaway food from the pub was lovely. There was a nice welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Also we could bring along our dog.A fantastic holiday and a fantastic place to stay."

"Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed at, accommodation good and clean, surroundings thee lakes etc beautiful good fishing, bar/restaurant good and great food. When the spa and leisure lake open something for everyone to do. Definitely going back next year. Small amount of work going on but didn’t spoil it."

"We had an amazing stay at Clawford lakes, the location is simply beautiful. Very peaceful and the staff were helpful. Free bikes/helmets to hire which were of very good standard. The hot tub was super clean, staff check the water every day. Only a few small bits of feedback: no hair dryer in our apartment, no kitchen roll or foil in the kitchen, very basic supplies and for the price we paid a hand pump of soap and shampoo/conditioner would of been a nice touch."
